Remarks

Prestigious and renowned It is a heritage college where renowned leaders and celebrities have studies. It has great cultural values .The teacher ahe very helpful .The campus is pleasant with full of trees. The library is great place to concentrate on your studies .Kimaya is great for chilling and cultural activities.College fest is really fun .

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It's is autonomous and if you attend the lectures regularly it is not difficult to pass. The teachers are always ready to solve all the doubts.Practicals are quite strict and makes you challenge yourself.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

No I didn't apply for any intership The college does provide intership opportunities to the students whose stipend is also okay .The internship provided are mostly learning based than stipend based.Once the intership is done the same company hires the student if they are good performers

Placement Experience

Good placement opportunities are available. There are various companies coming into the campus. One needs to be worthy enough to get that.Computer science ,animation have greater placement opportunities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are various scholarships to apply for the toppers. There are scholarships for people having good performance in certain subjects as well. There is a huge appreciation for arts and learning.Sports scholarships are also available

Campus Life

The life at campus is fun.One can chill out in Kimaya and just look around how the college people are different from one another .There are various canteens to hang out.One can play basketball at the court or enjoy badminton .The playground is huge.It is hard to believe that Fergusson also has a mountain to trek on to add the thrill.

Admission

No the admission was done on the basis on 12th grade percentage. The cut off is generally high but if you have patience to wait you can get the admission after the third list also. There are a lot of admissions getting cancelled so there can always be a chance.

COLLEGE REVIEW OF IBSAR BELAPUR

Likes

The good thing about this college is affordability and how quick the admission process is.
Teachers are friendly too, there is no mandatory attendance rule and the lecs are conducted three days a week for mca students which gives them the freedom to work or switch between lecs and personal things
The feedbacks of students are taken seriously and the staff is changed accordingly. Students can freely talk to faculty about the performance of teachers and quality of education.

Dislikes

There is no campus in this college which limits student activities for events or other things.since the lecs are not conducted daily or as like other colleges , very less class count is there which affects the interactivity as well.
The quality of infrastructure is not quite good as the college is there in two floors of the building only. Campus amenities are average as well. There aren't much opportunities as such in this college like industrial level or any.
If anyone wants to experience and actually college life with the whole campus experience, events , activities or other things ,this college isn't a good fit

Placement Experience:

During the admission the students are told that in semester four , just students are eligible for campus placements and some of the companies come for a placements and even the undergraduate students are placed . The name of the companies that come for the placement include Vector ,HDFC Bank etc but in admission pamplets huge company names are provided like infosys, wipro, etc. the average packages are 300000 -500000 per year. The cgpa of students should be higher than 7. I am planning for an on campus as well as off campus placements.

The facilities of the hostel are sometimes inadequate
The departments are very much understaffed

Likes

As it is government collage, but still it have high level computer labs and high end computer for hevy coding
The collage teaching staff is very friendly and supportive
The collage arrange many competitions like quiz competition, sport tournaments and celebrate many festivels with fun.

Dislikes

The collage building is too old and not have well developed sport ground
The classrooms don't have Digi board or TV for didital learning and have old blackboard
The teachers don't take regular lactures, student have to study on it's own

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good and covers important technical subjects. I choose IT because I was interested in computers and technology. It provides basic practical knowledge through lab work and projects, which is helpful for further studies. It can be improved by adding more latest technologies and practical learning. There are 2 unit tests in each semester followed by the final end sem exam. Exams are mostly moderate in difficulty.

Good patient flow with timely clinical postings

Dislikes

Lack of amphitheatre and many other amenities in the campus
Hostels are not well equipped and facilities provided are poor

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is CBME one now, with all good changes like early clinical exposure, ensuring timely clinical postings of every year. It helps for the future pursuits and there are 4 exams per year with a gap of 1 to 2 months.

Arts in Fergusson College

1. I secured more than enough percentage to get the college of my liking, Fergusson College was always my first choice, although I had applied for other colleges such as Modern College, MIT University, etc. I chose FC due to its reputation and future prospects. 2.No, I was not rejected. 3. The admission is not that hard . You get the admission in the Undergraduate courses on the basis of your percentage in 12th class. The cutoff is high for general category that requires you to score for 94% and above , whereas it is bit relaxed for special category that needs 85% and above....Read More

A campus life you must live once in your life - Fergusson College

I had heard a lot about Fergusson College in my school time, somewhere deep down I had always wished to come here and study also i did my bachelors from the same college so it was obvious for me to choose this place . Also FC has amazing faculty members which made me choose it. I gave the entrance test on an online platform for my masters course got second in the list and went straight for the admission process within a week after results were out. I had applied to Modern College as well and got my admission confirmed also but because i got into FC I did not do any further process for modern college. The admission process goes smooth , once the results are out we are called to the college for document verification and regitrations, then fee payment and college starts. The eligibility is that you dont hold any backlogs from your bachelors degree....Read More
