Remarks

As I received 115 in my MHT CET exams, I applied for DJ Sanghvi comps, St. Francis Institute of technology, Thadomal Shahani, etc. According to my score, I was allotted RGIT in the first round itself. I am an OBC candidate so my fees were quite less i.e around 13k yearly. I chose the computer stream and there are many various committees in the computer department. I was a part of the CESS committee and the Codecell committee. The college had arranged an Induction program for all students for 3 days before starting with the actual classes. In which, the principal explained all the opportunities available in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I am interested in networking and web development. There are 80 students in one class out of which the ratio of men to women is 1:7 in comps. Other departments have fewer girls. The teachers are very supportive and of helpful nature. They have an overall understanding of the subject and explain in a very well manner. Most of the teachers are M.Tech and some have a PhD as well. Our lectures were from 8:30-4:15. If you prepare well then you can easily crack the vivas and the exams. There are 2 UTs in one semester.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college provides several internships. If you keep a good connection with the teachers, they can even help you get internships. I interned as a "Data Analysis and Machine Learning Intern" at The Sparks Foundation. Several other roles offered are web developer, android developer, full-stack developer, etc. The students are focused and you get to learn a lot from your peers. Certain companies conduct aptitude tests and then select students for several roles. I would recommend keeping your CGPA above 8 in order to get good companies.

Placement Experience

4

The students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester i.e beginning of the final year. Last year around 40 companies visited the campus in spite of the lockdown scenario. Companies visited were TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Byjus, etc. Most students were placed into TCS. The average package offered was 4 LPA. The highest offered was 8 LPA and the lowest offered was 2 LPA. Most students opted for Masters or M.Tech. Around 80% of students who opted for placements received it.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you are an Open candidate then the fee is 99k yearly. As I was an OBC candidate, we have a tuition fee waiver and the fee is 13k yearly. The scholarship offered is "POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP TO OBC Students". I did 1 internship at The Sparks Foundation. It was an unpaid internship. But we got a lot to learn from this internship. The financial assistance provided by the college is just the fee waiver to caste students. Other than that no extra assistance is provided. I received a job in TCS with a package of 3.4 LPA on campus.

Campus Life

4

We have 2 annual fests i.e Technical and Cultural. The technical fest is called ICARUS and the cultural fest is called ZODIAC. These days are the best days of our college life. As we are involved in many competitions and even teachers take part in these competitions. There is a DJ night, Garba night, and Comedy night that is celebrated. The library is well maintained and has all stuff that you need for your preparation. Football, Cricket and Kabaddi are quite popular and the college teams have won trophies in the same. CESS is a committee which is run by computer department students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
