Remarks

1. I didn't apply for any other college. 2. No, I didn't avail of any quota. 3. There was an exam conducted to get admitted to LPU. This exam is known as LPUNEST. One has to get through this exam in order to go to the university. Based on your marks you will get a scholarship of 10%, 20% or 30%. 4. At first on the admission day you have to do the document verification, then you have to avail your scholarship and then the stream gets confirmed. Then you get provided with your details.

1. I wanted to be a part of the electronics industry as well as the IT industry. That's why I thought ECE would be best for me. 2. 1:7 3. Most of our faculties have been qualified with a minimum of Masters'. And most of them had P.Hd as well. The faculties are really student-friendly. They try to connect the subjects to real life. And they are very concerned about the students' wellbeing. 4. There are two terms in one sem- the mid-term gets conducted after 2 months of the sem starting & the n-term gets conducted after the two months of mid-term. The difficulty level is medium.

Internships Opportunities

1. TCS, WIPRO, BYJU'S. The roles offered are junior interns and senior interns. 2. There are many opportunities based on your project. There are various projects done at LPU such as AirCraft, Electric Vehicle, Solar car.

Placement Experience

1. Sixth Semester. 2. Amazon, Google, Qualcomm, Flipkart, TCS, Wipro, IBM, Bose, Microsoft, Adobe, etc. 3. 42 LPA is the highest package and the average is 10 LPA. 4. I want to get a job and get settled.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. One has to pay a gross of 90k per sem. So one has to 7,20,000 as a whole. 2. Depending on the scholarship, the amount gets decided. There are three types of scholarships - 10%, 20%, and 30%. I didn't get any stipend because I couldn't live on the campus for more than 6 months.

Campus Life

1. Annual Fest- One India, One World (November). Tech Fest - Youth Vibe ( February). 2. The library capacity is huge. The latest journals are always available in the LPU library. 3. The classrooms are digitally advanced. Every classroom has a projector. They are air-conditioned. 4. There are two types of games played in LPU- Indoor as well as Outdoor. e.g Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Badminton, Football, Chess, Carrom. 5. There are various clubs run by students - Gravity, RISC, etc.

Hostel Facilities

1. One is provided with one bed, one table, one chair, one Almira, The number of students living per room depends upon what you choose. Every room is provided with individual washrooms. There are geysers and coolers as well. 2. The meal quality is average and the quantity is as much as you can consume. 3. Online registration through UMS(University Management System). In offline, you can sign up for a hostel when you are in the admission cell. 4. I didn't.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic.
