VIT Business School - Paradigm shifting consortium from proletariat to business leader

I had a CAT score of 75% score. PSGIM, Coimbatore, and VIT Business School were the two most likely choices I had when I opted for Management Studies as they had ranked around '40s among the top 100 business schools in India by NIRF in 2020. I had applied for PSGIM in Feb 2020 but didn't get selected in GD/PI. Since being rejected I had to go with the next best business school that I was interested in. Admission Process and Exams: I applied for the MBA on the VIT BS website with my (CAT score[70-75] permissible range) (they also accept scores of other exams like MAT(75-80), XAT(65-70), etc), An Online Personal Interview (PI) was conducted, the interview was generic (selection criteria - academic performance + profile scoring + PI score + management aptitude test score) and Results was announced on the same day since I had good scores throughout my academics.

Since Covid-19, Pandemic Outbreak most of the Educational Institutions are being run remotely and classes are held online. MBA program in VIT BS follows trimester pattern, constitutes of 6 trimesters in the course of two years, has a good balance curriculum with a personalized platform for online classes - interact with the faculty and accessing required study materials. Professors in our college are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. they are more than intelligent enough to teach us. they are perfect in their own way of teachings. their teaching quality is good. the course curriculum is relevant. It makes the student's industry- ready.

Interships can be undergone by the students from their third trimester or the around the end of their first year. Students can also opt for internships off-campus via Linkedin, etc in their respective domain irrespective of their corresponding grades.

VIT BS provides placements as described in their website, it is listed by the college that the average salary is 5.10 lakhs and the highest salary for the 2018-20220 batch is 10.85 lakhs per annum. An average of 45 out of 60 students gets placed having good academic records as stated by our seniors.

The fee for the Entire programme is 7.2 lakhs for two years Schemes: There are scholarship/fee waiver schemes for students with high scores in CAT, MAT, XAT: >95 - full tuition fee waiver. >90 - 50% tuition fee waiver. We can undergo Internships as part of the curriculum with a paid stipend.

Due to the pandemic apart from the curriculum extra curricular acitivities on campus were improbable. VIT BS has good accessibility to their resources for their students and provides real-time projects and assignments online which indulge us to collaborate among our classmates via digital classrooms.

Due to the pandemic, the entire process was held online. There was no GD but PI(difficulty level: easy) was conducted. PI requirements: Social Skills (Communication and good presentation skills(interviewee should have sound mind and be able to present himself/herself to the interviewer ))
