Remarks

I took admission to Mithibai College of Arts and Commerce and currently pursuing a Bachelor of Multimedia and Mass Communication. You've to apply for courses and college through Mumbai University's website. After the application process, all the colleges release their merit list. Well, last year's admission process was in online mode but during my time we have to go there physically for the admission process after merit list releases. There are some eligibility criteria also. There is a reservation policy for admission to Mithibai college. They also avail quotas. The admission process is not really difficult but can be hectic.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I am pursuing a Bachelor of Multimedia and Mass Communication. I have an interest in the field of media and communication that is why I chose this subject. I want to be a journalist. Faculty is the best for BMM. Their teaching methods are wow and student-friendly. College has junior college also. The college has 29 undergraduate and 15 postgraduate departments. There is a total of 190 teachers in the college and around 3200 students. Teachers are highly qualified and experienced. And there are other non - teaching staff too, also guest faculties. Exams are really tough so you've to study hard. They also take oral exams and practical exams.

Placement Experience

They provide good placement opportunities to its students. The highest package has been 19.5 lakhs and the lowest been 7 lakhs. Here training and placement cells has been established in 2010. More than 60% of students get placements every year. The college has the advantage of being in Mumbai.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for my course are 38000, affordable but quite high. The college has a reservation policy and provides financial assistance to struggling students. You can also apply for scholarships here. They are given on the basis of Mumbai University scholarship guidelines. Mithibai Entrepreneurship Development Cell is working hard on providing internship opportunities to its students but you are not eligible for an internship in the first year of college.

Campus Life

4

Kshitij is the annual festival of Mithibai college. More than 100 colleges and 40000 students participate in the fest every year. College also organizes annual sports and annual management fests. Finanza is the annual finance fest of the Mithibai college. Classrooms here well equipped with modern amenities and are fully air-conditioned. The college has a great infrastructure. The college has a fully air-conditioned library with more than 60000 books and journals and periodicals, indoor and outdoor sports complex, Gymkhana, the best canteen in the whole university, lifts, laboratories, auditorium, health - services, washrooms, watercoolers, Ramps, and activity rooms. The college has various societies, communities, cells, councils, associations, and clubs. They have their social media handles managed by students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course. It helped me in my personality building and also I learned new things like- Video and photo editing, handling cameras, communication skills, Acting, Advertisement writing and shooting, and many more. Class strength is good as they allow 25-30 students for one course. Faculties were too supportive and masters of their own fields. They take 2 internals and 1 final exam at the end of the semester which is of 6 months.
