My life at THE MITHIBAI COLLEGE

Mithibai has great placement opportunity as there are big companies that comes for campus placement like KPMG, DELOITTE, JP MORGAN and EY. So it can give great start to students in corporate world. This is one of the reasons I chose mithibai over other colleges. Also there are so many clubs that I can be a part of to form connections, gather ideas and build leadership skills. I also applied to NMIMS, DU and I got admission there. Reason for not choosing was simple that the opportunities for me were more at Mithibai than any other college and it was a great decision overall. I got confirmation letter from colleges like Jai hind, Mumbai and St.xavier's Ahemdabad. But still I chose Mithibai because of its NAAC ranking and best faculties they provide. Yes, i have taken admission through management quota as 10% seats ate through that and rest all merit based. My percentage were low and so getting direct admission was impossible. the caption fees for management quota is high but i wanted to be a part of this college no matter what and here i am studying in the college of my dreams....Read More

At Mithibai, there aint any entrance, if you have done junior college from here, which I did, i got admission without any marks consideration or anything. For others like students of Maharashtra have to have somewhere around 85% or so and for outsiders its over or rather well above 90 for sure. The college had a good modern infrastructure but half of the classrooms were either unpainted or under renovation throughout the three years that I have spent in the college. Several areas were under construction which was a potential hazard to the students. I would rather prefer a heritage building like a south Bombay college than a modern half constructed college. The teachers were experienced but lacked the drive to teach efficiently. I did not find the staff extra ordinary. There was little to no connection between student and teacher. There was a lot of favoritism. Overall the college appeared mismanaged because they did not regularly update the college website and did not feel the need to email us the important updates such as exam dates, we had to run around the college campus to read the notice boards....Read More
