Remarks

My overall experience in my college was very good. We had a very good time in the college whether it came to academics or extra curricular activities, also finally the placements. I have no regrets to have studied in this college and I feel content with my college life.

Entrance Preview

EAMCET. I secured 3604 state rank, I chose this college as it was one of the top engineering colleges of the state.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum was good. We had very good labs where we could actually have a hands on experience on most of the topics we had. Regarding the research we had very good professors to guide us with the topics and help us accordingly. People who had interest in research had resources and oppurtunities to pursue them, though they were not at their best.

Internships Opportunities

No, our college didn't provide any internship. But I heard that our juniors had the chance to do internship with one or two companies.

Placement Experience

4

The placements during my time were very good, that almost every one got placed. Some of the companies are Microsoft, JP Morgan, Pega Systems, United online, Deloitte, TCS, Wipro, Accenture etc. The average package of would lie between 4-5 LPA. There were some core companies too for the Mechanical and Civil engineering students.

College Events

3.5

We used to have 6 specifications in our college and each of them had a technical event of its own, conducted in either Jan or Feb of every year. This is used to be a technical event where we used to have many events like paper presentation, robotics labs and training sessions. The event used to last for 2 days and people from different parts of the state would come to attend it. The events will be sponsored by different companies whom we used to contact and also, our Alumnus used to help us.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As the college was a government run institute, the fee structure was very feasible. We had a fee of 10,000 rs per year which was the lowest in any college in our state. Apart from that we had to pay the hostel fee if we were to stay in the hostel. We didn't had any other fee and all the other expenses like lab equipment etc used to be handled by the college itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, we had a number of scholarships that were offered by the government that the students availed based on their intermediate marks. But I'm sure those were not just available to our college but to all the students over the state.

Campus Life

3.5

The gender ration in the college was maintained as per the then rules in our state, where 33% female ratio was maintained. The extracurricular activities were also very good in our college, especially sports. We had good ground and we almost had some sport event or the other for every 2 months. We also had very good training sessions being held during the technical events held.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I cannot say the hostel facilities were very good, but they were decent. The food was also just ok. The rooms were very good though. We actually had a new building for both the boys and girls hostels individually. The maintenance was also good. The hostel rooms would be 2 or 3 sharing. We never had any issues with the water or electricity. Also, we had broadband internet (highspeed). The fee for the hostel was around 9,000 rs per year in my first year and increased to 12,000 rs in my final year.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a good network to keep in touch with the passed outs of our college. We actually have a committee in our college who keeps track of them. Each branch(specification) will have the details of the students of their own too. We generally used to have an alumnus meeting during the technical event held in Jan or Feb of every month.

Exam Structure

We had a well planned exam structure, with proper schedule for the labs and exams. We used to have the exams at regular intervals to keep the syllabus on track. At times the schedule used to be a little hectic, but we were able to manage it. But the schedule would always be notified to us prior to the actual date so that we were prepared for that.

Admission

We had a counselling where we will be given options to select 5 colleges and specifications based on the EAMCET rank. The counselling was held in Hyderabad and I attended it and selected JNTUHCEH as my option 1. The seat I selected was available and so did I get the admission into this college.

Faculty

4

The faculty was very good, we had professors who were highly qualified and very good at teaching. I can say that we had the best faculty than most of the colleges in our state during that time. Apart from the professors we used to have some guest lecturers from different colleges who were enthusiastic in teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
