Remarks
Admission was based upon rank achieved in JEE(Mains) exam. Shortlisting and Counselling were done through the JAC portal. During counseling, we were called to the institute and stream cutoffs were announced, after which registration was done if we wanted to enroll in the stream we were eligible for. After counseling, the next step was directly the orientation day in the institute. I also took admission to DTU, which had the same process through the JAC portal. I did not choose to attend there since I got a better stream at NSUT with my rank.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well diversified and updated with the latest relevant topics. The curriculum also builds upon the entirety of the stream as a whole, as the years go by, and I was able to gain a better understanding of the subjects. Most of the faculty are well experienced in teaching and are highly qualified. However, a few courses were taught by master or Ph.D. students, although they were also quite knowledgable and helpful.
Internships Opportunities
In the 3rd year, multiple companies visit the campus for internships. Most of them are for tech roles, including the biggest companies like Amazon, Sprinklr, Goldman Sachs, American Express. Some companies also offer internships in non-tech roles, including Sprinklr and Bharti Airtel. All companies offer stipends ranging from 40000 to 2.5L per month.
Placement Experience
At the beginning of the 4th year, the full-time placements season starts. There are a huge number of companies that hire from campus, including both tech and nontech profiles. Tech companies include Amazon, Sprinklr, DE Shaw, American Express, etc among a lot of others. Non-tech companies include Bain and Company, EY, ZS associates, etc as well as CollegeDunia web ltd All students get at least one placement offer.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fee is 1.45L - 1.65L, varying between the 4 years. Scholarships are given to the top 10 department rankers, amounting to around 45000 per year. There is no facility for on-campus jobs as of now.
Campus Life
Campus life is amazing. There are a plethora of clubs and societies, right from music, dramatics, dance all the way to robotics, finance, and social work. There are ample opportunities to pursue co-curricular activities. There are 2 fests conducted every year, the tech fest - Resonanze, and the cultural fest - Moksha. Fest days are the best time of the year.
