I had taken both MAT and CAT, CAT scores are considered, percentile should be above 85. I received their brochure and liked it, there is an application fee that I paid. I got a letter to appear for GD and PI at their campus. I opted for this college as they had retail management course, which was rare at that time, and also their placements were very good.
Since I was in Retail Management and currently working with a top retail house, when I look back at the course we had studies about every touch point in retail, My immense knowledge in Retail comes from the topics I have covered during my course.
Yes, they provide internship, I was placed with Reliance Communication for 3 months from Jan 2007 to Mar 2007. I got Rs.15000 as stipend + free accommodation at their guest house + food coupons + pickup and drop service. Pratibha the annual fest, Alumni Meet every year, round the year they keep having different fests, seminars, workshops. Its depends on the current batch and their involvement too. There are sessions conducted with great leaders.
Two year course costs 7.5 lakhs (including single accommodation) in 2006-07. Which I believe was cheaper than a lot of other colleges. The facilities and the food provided was good quality so 7.5 lakhs was justified.
For Scholarship and loans one can check for the current tie ups, or even to the management. They are a set of good people who will help in all possible way they can.
The gender ratio was pretty equal, all events right from Sports, cultural events, debates were conducted. Students are encouraged to participate in inter college contests and fests too. Lot of seminars happen very regularly which gives good exposure.
The Alumni network is very strong, college has put up a lot of effort to maintain the network, there are regular get together that happens in every city, even at international locations. There is a alumni forum online also where all alumni can connect and share stuff.
We had quarterly exams with CGPA 10 being the highest. High importance is paid to Practicals, Projects and Industry project. The viva is conducted by people with industry experience. They grill you enough to ensure that the project is done by you and not copied.
The faculties are very experienced, they come with Industry experience and also with experience in teaching at top institutes. This makes our experience really amazing. There were lot of visiting faculties for areas like Visual Merchandising, merchandising, marketing who would give us in-depth knowledge of the industry and their areas.
