Remarks

There was an option for a quota merit list for the minority students who are willing to study in this college. First of all online form fillup happened and then a one-day merit list was published on the college website according to the date previously noticed. And another day of counseling happens and the minimum mark for getting honors in Physics is you have to get a minimum of 60% in physics in your 12th board exam and your age should not be crossed above 22. On the counseling, day the teacher asked every student's name according to the merit list one by one and there was an individual merit list for quota candidates also. All are transparent processes in counseling.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

First of all, I love Physics so I choose this subject and I think it's a very good subject option for your future also. There was 5 full-time teacher and 3 part-time teachers and all are best according to me and the no of students is 60, so the ratio should be 8:60. All the teachers are qualified and trained also. And they give you lessons via board and via projector also. There was a two-term exam in a year and one yearly University exam, if you prepare yourself for the term exam then it should not be tough for you to get high marks in the university exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was a minimum fee you have to pay every year and there was a charge for form fillup for university exams. The fee structure clearly shows all the parameters and there was no hike in my three years of college days. There was also support for a scholarship for the students whose family income is less than 60 thousand in a year and all the minority scholarship and all other scholarship you can apply also.

Campus Life

4

There was every year an annual fest and this fest happened in the month of February. There was a central library in the college and also a departmental library, where you can find all the books you need for study as well as storybooks and also daily newspaper and many others. There was a ground beside the college campus and there were always some tournaments happen like cricket, football, racing in the time of the fest. In our department, there was a departmental paper which is published every month in the collaboration with teachers and students. There was also an option for joining the NCC and NSS and this is open to all the students.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
