I have been admitted to Jadavpur University through the WBJEE exam. I applied with the OBC quota but I got a general seat according to my marks. if anyone admits to the Engineering faculty of this university then he or she will take part in the WBJEE exam. Based on the WBJEE Rank student will admit this university. If students secure a good rank then they will get a chance to admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
I love Chemistry and Biological sciences that so why did I choose Pharmaceutical Technology. In this university, almost every Engineering faculties are good as well as Pharmacy department. Faculty are very good, almost every teacher is highly qualified with many degrees from our country and abroad also. In our pharmacy department, about 25 professors and every professor PhD degree and also achieved a degree from abroad. Faculty and students ratio about 3. The duration of the term exam is 6 months. If a student has consistency to study then he will pass this term exam. Difficult level not too much hard but need a regular basis study.
Placement Experience
After the 6th semester, students become eligible for Campus placement. Cipla, Sun Pharma, Lupin etc companies visited. average package 4 to 5 lac per annum. Highest 22 lac. 78% placement opportunities but it vary from department to department.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees amount is lower than other colleges according to the course. In my Pharmacy department per year fees 2560 so I can complete this course near about 11000 rupees during 4 years. College also provides scholarships like ALUMINI, ACHIEVER. Students can also be applied for a government scholarship for this course like AKAYSHREE, SVMC, DWO etc. University provides placement opportunities to a good company according to the department.
Campus Life
Every year university arranges an annual fest, functional programs, cultural programs, farewell ceremony and fresher's ceremonies. Every program very enjoys full. The campus is so natural environment. But university is too much old so some buildings are old construction. Student congress some social group like "Amra Ek shate bachbo ", FETSU etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is old. Hostel charges per month 12 rupees. But meal quality is a good and healthy menu. Students can get hostel according to their higher secondary marks and distance from home. Rent room and PG were available surrounding the university.
