I chose Vidyavardhaka College of engineering as it had good reviews from my friends, They have good coaching and placement drives. I got my seat through K-CET with a fee of around 65k + college fee of 25k The cut off for my course was 8.2k in first round of selection The admission process was smooth amidst of covid-19, all the precautions and steps were taken a

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose Computer science and engineering as I was quite passionate about the subject We have an instructor for 60 students but due to covid-19, the batch was again split into 30 students to ensure safety precautions and when it comes to lab sessions we were divided into batches of 15 members and an instructor for each 5 students Most of the faculty members have doctorates and are well versed in the subject The grading system is based on continuous internal evaluation, where we'll be having 2 internals and 2 quizzes and one activity-based assessment, and a final semester-end examination

Internships Opportunities

5

Internships are the best part, we start getting internships from the first year itself... We are paid with a minimum of 2k and ranging up to 50k We have many clubs such as OSL and GDSC And students from this club have got selected in GSoC ( Google summer of code ) which is really a great achievement

Placement Experience

4.5

When it comes for placements, college helps us in both on-campus and off-campus placements we have a separate dedicated department for placements. Many companies like Infosys, TCS, Accenture, cognizant, etc offer jobs. More than 90% of the students get placement for sure As I'm in the first year I've pretty less knowledge about this

Fees and Financial Aid

As far as I'm aware of there is no hike in fees and if belong to General Merit and get a seat through K-CET it'll cost you around 90k There are many scholarships provided by the college and our college provides scholarships for the needy students from vidyavardhaka sangha

Campus Life

5

We have the annual fest vidyut, Due to pandemic the fest was not held. We have a lot of clubs for everyone Journals are published every year We are equipped with impartus lecture capture, so u can go home and listen to class n number of times We have a sports complex and there are many sports There are many websites run by students for example IEEE club Google developer students club Etc..

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.
