Remarks

I ended up at Netaji Subhash engineering college in the 3rd round of counseling. Before this I didn't attempt for any other college and neither i have any quota to fill in. I got to this college on the basis of my rank which was 35782, i was placed with a course in electrical engineering. The better the rank, the chances are high to get better subjects. The admission was smooth, all the processes of admissions were carried out at separate places. The college has enough infrastructure to organize admission for a handful number of students.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course for broad opportunities in both govt and private jobs. There are some 20 professors themselves in our branch or course and 120 students per batch. Professors are mostly posted graduates in their field of expertise with some of them having a prestigious Ph.D. degree. Teaching methods are really up to date. With smart classrooms and authentic teaching facilities. There's a good blend of all kinds of teaching methods. Lectures are not too long which makes it nontiring and interesting. Lectures are interactive as well, followed by lab classes. Terms exams were usually 1 month apart. A total of 3 Unit tests were organized. The difficulty level was as required. Not highly difficult to pass but questions were of par level.

Internships Opportunities

5

None to be specific due to covid issues and norms. We had 2 pieces of training on IOT and E CAD. Certified training were being done for industry readiness. I created a fire alarm system under the IOT project using python. The documentation was done and submitted.

Placement Experience

5

By 6th sem students are eligible for placements. Till now 4 companies have made their way Including Persistent technology, TCS, cognizant, HCL. Highest package - 9 LPA Lowest package - 3.5 LPA Average package - 4.8 LPA Till now the companies have just started to announce their exams. Job offering procedure hasn't started. My plans are to get a job after the degree on-campus placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is fixed, it will be handed over at the start of the session while admission. Financial assistance is provided to students who come under Tuition fees waiver program which brings down the whole fee to extremely less amount. A lot of companies come to the campus, tech giants like Microsoft, Accenture, TCS visit the college. They also provide internship opportunities.

Campus Life

5

Classrooms and labs are well equipped. Sports is highly appreciated and encouraged in campus. Regular practice sessions are there in different sports. Extracurricular activities include singing and dancing which are also celebrated equally. A lot of clubs are there, dominantly the three big clubs are the tech Club - Phoneix Photography club - Lensified Social club - Rotaract club

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
