MY reviews on D.T.U.

I Applied to NITs and BITS PILANI, HYDRABAD campus,NSIT ,THAPPAR university and D.T.U. Of all the options available dtu seemed to be the best option for me back then . We were supposed to fill the forms for JOSAA councelling seperately (4 college come under this i.e. IIIT DELHI,DTU ,NSIT and IGDTU ) Then according to the subsequent councelling rounds we were alloted the branches in accordance with the preffered brsnches we filled depending on the cut-offs. I got my branch(envirnoment engineering ) in the spot round before which i was getting Biotech in NSIT

The curriculum was not very rigorous (probably the reason why I went for this branch) and the subjects were much less mathematical from what I expected them to be. in the second year, mostly the subjects were civil engineering related which were analytical and math-heavy but in third and 4th yr subjects were easy to handle. The student-teacher ratio was not that great .some of the professors were very outdated but few of them had high research output. students who had an interest in core subjects and wanted to do a master's had a great oppurtunity to work under professors as the professors used to corporate and write LORs.Many students managed to get into top US universities due to the same reason

Internship oppurtunities are also good both for tech and nontech companies but not as great as placements, moreover, there were inhouse internships available for the ones who didn't manage to get an internship or for someone who is keen to work under some faculty

As i mentioned before placement is one of the best parts, TnP works very hard to get students placed, from start-ups to MNCs all the big names visit campus in various roles. sincere students get hefty packages as well. some of the companies provide 20 lkh+ CTC. students become eligible for placements at the beginning of the 4th yr , and for internships 3rd yr onwards. Other than that students get into top Tier USA universities owing to the brand value of the college

we were supposed to pay fees once annually. underprivileged students and students with quotas had fewer fees, some students even studied for free!!! placements were the best part about the college, sincere students mostly get placed in good companies and hefty packages. training and placement department works very hard to get the companies on board and get students placed

The fest almost always has been huge and one of the best in north Delhi .Library was fully equipped with journals and course books several authors . sadly classrooms(atleast our department) had non functional ACs . Campus was huge and beutiful , the sports facilities were also great . there were all kinds of socities and clubs from E-cell to economics societies ,from astronomy to debating socities you just name it!!
