Remarks

Actually 1st of all I was looking for btech cse in any iit but my jee advance result was not up to the mark. I was getting other streams in iit delhi but i always want to be a software engineer so I decided to do btech from lpu in computer science so that i can pursue my dream.I appeared in lpu entrance exam and qualified it easily and also got some scholarship.After that I did not faced any problem in getting admission in lpu as it's a private university and you can get admission here easily even if you did not qualify the entrance exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

My reason for taking btech in cse was because of my childhood dream of being a software engineer and it also provides you a handsome package after completion of the course.As I was always fascinated towards computer science that's why I did not face much problems during my course. Faculties were also good. They helped me a lot during my course as I was a bright student. Due to my own hardwork and extra help from faculties I easily cleared the term exams.

Internships Opportunities

Microsoft was one of the major companies visited the campus and 5 students got placed in it with handsome package.tcs was the major recuiter and 75 Student got placed in this company. Many of the students who got offer from companies did not joined bcoz they want to do their dream jobs and those jobs were not meeting their expectations.

Placement Experience

Many companies visited the campus during placement and if you are from CSE you can definitely get campus placement. Other branches also got good placements but some students did not get placed from mechanical and civil branches. CSE was having 100 percent placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are high for a middle-class family. Your parents may find it difficult to pay the fee if you did not get any scholarship from the University. A part-time job is another option which can help you to pay your fees. Part-time jobs are available both inside and outside of the campus.

Campus Life

There were many fests always going on on the campus. But I did not have any interest in that fest, ut I joined two clubs which really helped me in managing things and gave me a way of thinking to solve any problem. You must join clubs in whichever college you are. Because it teaches you the things other than your subjects

Hostel Facilities

I joined the hostel for 1st year but I did not find mess food good so I left the hostel in 2nd year. Rooms were well managed in the hostel but food and laundry were the things that disappointed me, I started living in a pg which was affordable for me. You can also find different pgs according to your budget.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
