Fees is quite high other than everything is good

I got selected in my college through WBJEE counselling, I don't remember the exact day but it was most probably in the month of September and my rank was approximately 15000. I got the seat as a general candidate. I applied for so many colleges in the WBJEE counseling choice filling and the auto generated system locked my seat in Mechanical Engineering in Techno Main Saltlake(previously known as Techno India Saltlake)

Actually, I have a lot of interest in machine drawings, how a machine works, etc. that is why I choose this course. There are so many teachers in the faculty and every year almost 80-90 students get admitted in the Mechanical Engineering department. Most of teachers have a PhD degree from various universities and IITs, NITs. The faculty is so good and they teach very well no doubt. They are so helpful. The course is a four year degree and there have 8 semester and in each semester there is one mid sem and end sem examination.

In the core branch, students got internships from different government and private sectors like HAL, Eastern Railways, Hitachi, etc., and IT companies like TCS, wipro give the paid internships also. Students will be providing internships only if they have good results or if they have done well in their academics.

After 5th or 6th-semester students are eligible for campus placement in this college. TCS(Tata Consultancy Services) is a mass recruiter here and IT companies like Wipro, capgemini etc are coming here for campus placement. The college is situated in the IT hub of West Bengal that's why IT companies will give you a good job from here. And some core companies like Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel also come. TCS give here the the highest package of almost 17 LPA and average package was 3-4 LPA. The lowest package is here 1.5 LPA. From CSE and IT Department almost 95% students got placed and from other departments moreover 60-70% students got placed in various companies. My plan is to sitting for campus placement and also giving the GATE exam and various PSU/government exams.

This college is a little bit expensive. The total course fee is 483000(approx). At the time of admission you have to pay 80000. A scholarship named Bharat Ratna Shri Pranab Mukherjee Scholarship is available for the toppers only. And also every government scholarship is provided here like SVMCM, Oasis etc.

In this college, there is a club named Geekonix which is a science and technology club, this club organizing the 2nd largest technical fest in Bengal named EDGE which is absolutely fantastic. It is happening in the month of June or July. This college has a great library containing more than 80000 books and you can get any book as per your requirement from here. The library support staff will also help you in every situation. In this college, there is a club Technotkarsh which is a sports club of this college and here is 2 big field you can play there.
