Remarks

The admission process was very smooth. LPU has out-campus office in almost every city which helped me to get the admission process done in my own city. I didn't have to go to the main campus for the procedure, all done in my city office of LPU. On the counselling day, I had to only show my original documents for verification. They had an induction session also in which they made us familiar with the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I opted for this course since it's the most demanding. The faculty and students ratio is very good. All the faculties are highly qualified and friendly. Also, the teaching methodology is very good. Faculties provide all the resources for the student to make sure they understand every basic of the course. Term exams are always on time unless there is any natural disaster due to which the exam can get cancelled or postponed. Exams are not that tough but the invigilation is strict. Finals are MCQ based which makes it easier than other college's exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

Different companies give different internship opportunities. You can get internships with stipends or without. University always encourages deserving students to get internships anywhere in the world.

Placement Experience

4

After the 4th semester students having more than 5 cgpa get eligible for the campus placements. Alumni are working on some big MNC like Google, Microsoft, Apple and much more. Recently Tanya Arora student of CSE Department got placed in Microsoft for a package of 37 LPA. The university has a record of placing 2000+ student in single day at TCS. my plans after getting the degree is simple, Campus Placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike policy is also good. The fees we are eligible to pay for the first year is fixed for the entire course. The fees are constant for the student. The student has an option to get admission through LPUNEST through which the student gets a 10-40% scholarship in tuition fees. Also, there's the financial assistance which helps students to lower their burden.

Campus Life

5

LPU has so many fests going on throughout the year. One World is the event where students showcase their country's cultural activities. Diversity is something you can find in the university. Youth vibe is Tech Fest of our university. LPU has one of the biggest libraries in the country. Its 7 storey Library provides every journal and book to ace your course. All the classrooms are fully air conditioned with a projector and wifi. Sports is where our university always stands out. Recently, 11 LPU students represented India in the Olympics out of which 7 have won medals in the event. Neeraj Chopra bagged gold in the Tokyo Olympics. Also, Mandeep Singh of our university is the Indian Hockey teams captain. University has DSA where you can find a club or social group for almost every talent.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels have different seated rooms varying from 1-seater to 6-seater and also dormitory. All the rooms have a single bed, study table, chair, fan, AC, light, geyser for each student. Mess foods are the vest part. You get different vegetarian foods every 2 weeks. The menu is decided for every two weeks. The quality of the food is at par. The registration process for allocating hostels is very simple. You just need to head over to the UMS and book your hostel services.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
