They are very good, but be aware

Only applied for mechanical branch of delhi technological university and got that. Didn't apply for any other college. I am not sure about admission criteria of my course and the admission was very smooth

I always wanted to study about automobiles and DTU had an FSAE team, Team Defianz Racing that makes those cars so it was a critical factor which drew me towards this college and it has given me so much experience in engineering which isnt possible in any labs or classes. The faculty is okay and most teachers will answer your doubts promptly, meanwhile the ratio in my class is 78:2. The faculty is undoubtedly very qualified and I won't criticise a lot about their teaching methods due to online classes, however it's very good according to me. The exams are quite difficult to pass as the papers are challenging

Many companies come in different streams and offer different packages. India is very tech centric in nature and tech companies come with huge offers with minimum starting from 70k a month however companies in other streams come with lower stipends with mechanical companies offering upto 40k.

Students become eligible for campus placements from end of 6th semester and very big companies vome here to recruit and offer huge packages upta 1.5 crores like uber, google, microsoft, hotstar etc etc. A high percentage of students get placed every year since DCE is a household name and a top 10 institution in the country. My dream after doing mechanical is to pursue a career in formula 1

I feel like the fees is unnecessarily very high as compared to even the last five years where the seniors told me that they paid only 80,000 a year instead of the staggering 2 lakhs we pay now and there is not a lot of development according to them that could justify such a fee hike

Our college hosts the most famous festival in north india, which is the engifest and its usually held in jan or feb. The campus is very huge and beautiful with lots of greenery and wildlife so all in all campus life is very good. The library is also very beautiful and has a lot of books from varios authors that are very hard to procure. The classrooms are average at best. The college however is home to famous tech teams like Defianz racing that have gone in reputed international competitions before and lesser known teams like DTU SMV that have gone to less reputed competitions but have done very well there. Anyone who wants to focus on their branches should look towards joining these teams with top priority as Defianz and UASDTU
