Remarks

The admission process was through MHTCET counseling. The branch was allotted on the basis of your merit. I had applied to the Netaji Subhas University of Technology Delhi and Birla Institute of Technology Mesra through DASA counseling in which I got Computer Science Engineering somewhere around December. Out of these I had shortlisted the Netaji Subhas University of Technology and was already attending classes. I was side by side waiting for MHTCET counseling and had applied to the College of Engineering Pune(COEP) and Pune Institute of Computer Technology(PICT). In January, I secured admission to Electronics and Telecommunication branch at COEP. So, now I had to make a decision between NSUT Delhi Computer Science and COEP Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. I chose COEP because I started feeling I was made for the Electronics branch as I had an interest in the Software as well as the Hardware world.COEP is in my hometown Pune so there will be no extra lodging costs.COEP is the best college!

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering because I wanted to be exposed to both the software and hardware industry. I had an interest in studying a core branch of Engineering. The faculty-student ratio is 1:50. Most of the faculties in COEP are Phd Holders and they are very well-versed in their respective subjects. The teaching method is awesome. Students can easily grasp the knowledge provided in class and teachers also solve their doubts. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the semester has shifted by almost 3-4 months. But still, the college has handled the situation very well by giving students ample time to study for the exams, instead of rushing the whole year. It is comparatively late in comparison to other colleges but it is certainly less stressful in comparison to those other colleges. Overall the curriculum is nice.

Internships Opportunities

5

Good companies like Microsoft, JPMorgan, IBM, Goldman Sachs, etc visit our campus and recruit students in the 3rd year. Good stipends are offered. These internship experiences also help your Resume. In order to get an internship, you need to have a good profile that has projects and your previous experiences before college.

Placement Experience

5

Students become eligible for college placements after the 6th or 7th semester I guess. Good companies like Microsoft, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, IBM, etc visit the campus and recruit students. The highest and average package varies every year. The placement rate is very high. All students get placed in good companies except for those who want to pursue higher studies. I plan for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost for me is 2.5 lakhs per year without a hostel. There are a lot of scholarships for SC/ST and TFWS students. Good jobs and packages are given to us. Companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, IBM visit the college.

Campus Life

5

Many fests like Mindspark, Impressions, Zest, etc are there in the college. All of these fests take place year-round. So, there is never a month when there is no event. The library is a really nice and quiet place containing almost all books. Classroom amenities are of good quality. There are a lot of clubs in COEP which have won many national and international events.

Placement Experience:

Placements at ADYPU are moderate and structred . Students usually become eligilble from the final year for campus drives. Various startups and mid level comapnies visit for roles in sales, marketing, operatioons and tech support . The highest pacakage generally ranges arounf 45-50LPA , while the average package is around 4.5-6 LPA , depending on the profile . A fair percentage of active students secure placements. After completing my degree, i plan to focus on skill development and pursue better career op;portunities.

Placement Experience:

placements in GHRCE are pretty good for CS/IT branches. Students become eligible from 7th semester, but companies starts giving training sessions from 6th sem itself. Many known companies visits like Tcs, Wipro, Capgemini, cognizant, Infosis etc The highest package goes around 20-22 LPA while the average package is around 5-6 LPA. Almost 70-80% students from CS/IT get placed. My plans after getting the degree is to get a stable job and then do masters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course out of sheer curiosity and intrest in the field of Artificial Intelligence . The course offered by the college encapsulates all the major subtopics included in the field. Theoretically the curriculum offers great knowledge about various topics from your course however you yourself have to figure out how do you build your practical skills which you can use in the real world. teaching methods can be improvised by implementing a more practical learning based approach rather than relying on the theoretical part of the subject. there are 2exams per semester, one small exam called as mid semester exams and the other one is the major exam called as final semester exam. difficulty of exam is usually easy to moderate and one can easily pass the exam even if he/she does not study regularly.
