Remarks

I had applied to LPU-NEST through which I got admission to Lovely Professional University. The paper level is easy to moderate. It is easy to secure good marks in LPU-NEST and bag a high scholarship as I got a 50% scholarship through this exam. You can also get admission to Lovely Professional University through your 12th marks and JEE-Mains Score. If you secured 90% or above in Jee-Mains or 12th exam then you can get 50%scholarship on your program.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am pursuing B.Tech in CSE as I want to be a software engineer in well reputated company. I am satisfy through my program as the faculty members coperate their students. Almost the faculty members are PhD Holder, it means they are well educated and have bunch of knowledge regarding their respective courses. They taught us on projector by project or share their screen through laptop.Almost, the teaching method are good. Our exam patterns are classified into CA(Continuous Assessment),MTE(Mid Term Exam) and ETE(End Term Exam). Almost, there are 3 to 4 CA which was conducted during the class time of respective course. MTE was conducted at the half of semester which is fully MCQS and finally ETE, conducted at the end of semester. The paper level of MTE and ETE are moderate and easy to grab good marks.

Internships Opportunities

As I am currently in the 5th semester but companies are visiting us as internship opportunities. They also provide a basic stipend. In the end, I want to say we should have some responsive projects. These companies take aptitude or coding tests and then on the behalf of this exam, they call the selected students for an interview and then they release the final merit list on the behalf of all these activities.

Placement Experience

We will eligible after 6th semester of your B.Tech Program. There are various companies as Adobe, Microsoft, Amazon, CodeNation etc hire students at the top package. Some mass recruiters comapny as Cognizant, TCS, Wipro etc also visted and selected the mass number of students at the average package of 4 lacs. Almost 80% percent students got placements in any comapnies. I will go for Placements in product based companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fees hike every year. As I got admission in 2019 at that time our tuition fees are 1,80,000 per year. In 2020, It has increased to 2,00,000 and finally it reached to 2,10,000 at the end.If I suggest you for all cost including tuition fees,hostel fees, mess charges and all then It will be approx 3 lakhs per year. But, there is scholarship policy on the tuition fess as well. If we secured 90% or more in Jee-Mains or 12th Board exam then we will get 50% scholarship on our tuition fees.Although, there are various scholarship available as scholarship for the ward of Central Armed Forces or From the sports quota also. We can also do some part time job as well with stipend.

Campus Life

There is various fest organised by University. There are some fest as: Youth Vibe, Literary Fest, One World Mega fest etc. There are 2 to 3 library in which 1 library is the central library of 4 storey.It stores books for almost all the courses. Our classroom have 2AC, 1 Projector, Voice and Video CCTV Camera and water cooler are also available at all the storey of classroom. There are indoor as well as outdoor stadiums are there in the campus. We can play and enjoy any of the game.Indoor stadium are chargeable but outdoor stadium are totally free of cost.There are inter-hostels competitions conducted by university in which varoius game were played. there are various social group as LPU-NSS,LPU-NCC and if I talk about Student clubs then it was amazing because these clubs help the students to gain extra-circular activity and skill which help them at the time of placement interview. Some Clubs are: Spade,Aurora,Google Developer Club etc.

Hostel Facilities

If You opted Non-Ac room, then a cooler is provided. Other Amenities are the Geyser facility, separate lockers are also there to keep our belongings safe. Meals are not too good but the menu changes week by week. We can opt hostel at the time of the admission process. Hostel fees hike every year but facilities are admirable. Within each boy or girls hostel, there is 2 to 3 ATMs, 4 to 5 lifts, 1 WH-Smith Store,1 canteen, and also has a study room. We feel safe within the hostel as security is also available 24 hours. We can opt for PG or a room nearby the university. The most famous locality is Law Gate.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
