Remarks

At the time of my admission in the college for higher educations, I was preparing for jee-mains when i came to know about Lovely Professional University. when I discussed with my family, they were satisfied with its reviews, placements and all then I took admission over there. No quota is availed during admission time for me. Eligibility criteria for taking admission: *Age=18 or above , *marks in 12th= 65 % or above . The admission process was too easy, I was admitted here with a completely online process. University has their own platform to take admission, I enrolled there with my all my documents.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.Tech with computer science is my favorite course, I loved all the stuff related to coding/software design, etc. that is why i chose this. Lovely Professional University has awesome facilities of everything like hostel, library, campus, academic & non-academic. Every teacher is very good, they are very interactive during lectures even in online classes, very friendly & supportive in nature. They all are qualified with experienced teaching skills. Evaluation is taken by the university from time to time as CAs, Assignments, MTE, ETE. Passing in exam is not so difficult, Only the needs are that students must go whatever the materials provided by the teachers.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities in LPU is very vast. there are no. of companies who offer the LPU student for their internships, the various industry offers to build live projects. Companies like google, microsoft, cisco, intel, Tech Mahindra, etc. some of the LPU students live projects like village development project with the govt of punjab , solar powered car , flying farmer , hunar see rojgar tk etc.

Placement Experience

Here the placements criteria are enough good than others. Students start placing in companies from 3rd year. Many companies visited here without any offers like Microsoft, Google, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and many more. The highest package is 42 LPA & the Average package is about 6 to 8 LPA till now as I know. 60 to 70 percent of students are placed in every of the year.

Fees and Financial Aid

For B.tech fees is approx 2 lacs at the time of my admission. University provides scholarships on a different basis: 10th result, 12th result, jee-mains score, family background (parents soldier, employed in govt sector, police, Teacher ) , victims of the corona, etc. University also provides part-time jobs for students to support them financially. Loan facilities are also available.

Campus Life

Campus & social life is all good with some strict restrictions. University conducted many tech fest time to time like placements celebrations, students curriculum achievement, etc. Classroom is very beautifully structured, having benches arranged in line by line, with multiple boards, lightening, Projector with HD quality etc. Unlimited no. of curriculum activities are conducted time to time , webinar , sports activities etc. There are no. of students organization : Ace , alpha ,case solver , Aim , Aura , code solver any many more.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
