CUSAT, THE HEAVEN

CUSAT is the best University in kerala. This is a government autonomous University that provides many courses and departments. So we can choose accordingly. And the placement package are also very high. Approximately 22 lac per annum. So i chose this university. But the problem is that the fees is higher for my course. For Mca per semester i have to pay 34000. But the hostel fees are very less. So there is no need to worry about the accommodation. The admission procedure starts at june. The application will starts at march. And the result will be published soon after the entrance examination. I have used the official website of department of computer applications used at for get getting informations about the placements and the faculties and the courses they offer.

I have completed my graduation in BSC Computer science .so I chose to get at professional course in Computer science background so here cochin University provided MCA . The remaining faculties for the department of Computer application. Many of them had undergone doctorate. The old are highly trained teachers. Approximately for 7 students there will be one teacher. The teaching method was awesome and excellent. They conduct many workshops and presentations and guidance classes from various personalities. So there will be two internal examinations and viva and also assignments should be submitted during the semester and one mini project and one main semester exam after the semester ending. In between we have to present the seminar and projects . They practices the main parts of all the subjects so there is no need to worry about the examinations and they prepare every student well so the examination are quite simple if we study. They are very supportive and they give updated study materials.

Currently I am in the last year, 3rd semester. The companies like Outlook, Cisco, SOTI, and many other companies in InfoPark Kochi had a approach in our institution for internship with this type pants from 25000 to 10000 range.So we have 4 semesters for our completion of the course . In between we have to complete two mini projects and one main project or an internship . The faculties helps us most during the project . so there is no need to worry.I got an internship in Outlook company with 10000 stipend monthly.

Cochin University provides the best placements from various companies nearby. The highest package they offered was Cisco of 22 lakh per annum. Average salary most students who placed had Got 7 lakh per annum. Companies who visited here year was IBM, Cisco, TCS, Accenture, SOTI, INFOSYS, WIPRO, Goldman Sachs, federal Bank. These companies paid approximately around 7 lakh per annum. Some of the companies paid around 2.5 lakh per annum except that is the lowest salary package. There is no need to worry about that because almost all students had got the highest package. There are 85 percentage of students who placed in MCA.

The fees is quietly high when compared to other institution because Cochin University is an autonomous government university so for my course. But there are many scholarship for SC ST OEC students. They have free education but for my course, I have to pay 34000 per semester. they provide post matric scholarship and e grants for students whose income annual income is less than 2 lacs per annum. And hostel fee is also free for that students so there is no need to worry who comes from a less income family because they also helps us to get a loan and financial assistance towards the completion of course.

Cochin University is famous for their techfest annual fest and many other programs. The engineering departments conduct the biggest tech fest in whole Cochin University. The dhishna 2019 was the best we ever experienced. In the text first we had a concert of Dhwani Bhanushali. It was awesome. They techfest mostly is conducted during January & February. There is a separate building for a central library in Cochin University. So we just need to get an identification for taking books. There is a vast collection of books in that buildings. I love to read so this is such a blessing for me. We have an amnesty centre at the center of Cochin University campus. There is an unisex gym for girls and boys. Many sports and games activities are conducted in the campus. There are games like basketball, football, cricket, badminton, table tennis etc. There are many clubs like arts and social clubs and sports club and sfi union club extra.

The hostels are pretty average in Cochin University. Some hostels are quite good but some are old. The hostel which I allotted is post matric hostel for girls. This hostel is meet and have every facility that I needed. The matron mam is also so good to us. The hostel fee per month is just about 150 rupees and mess fees is about 900 per month respectively.There are many PG around the campus and they a little bit more costly than the hostel. Hostels cost for 2000+ range only for living . The food and other cost are separate. We have to separately apply for the hostel and according to the distance between the campus and our home we get the allotment.

Generally for some courses they conduct group discussion, interview and written test also but for my admission procedure they conduct at written test only . The group discussion for some courses are generally based on current affairs and based on their subjects also. After getting eligible for the written test they interview us about our details . The Verification procedure is also conducted . So there will be 2 or 3 allotments after that they will conduct a spot admission for the the remaining seats basically they help the SC ST OBC Students.For MCA conduct entrance examination and after that I got into the spot admission . Also asked about me the personal details and we gave our certificates .
