Remarks

Admissions in DTU take place through JAC-Delhi (Joint Admission Committee- Delhi). Along with Mechanical Engineering at DTU, I also applied for Mechanical Engineering at NSUT. But in the end, I chose DTU as DTU is the parent institute of NSUT. Overall, the admission process was quite smooth and problem-free.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Overall, the course curriculum of Mechanical Engineering at DTU is fine. But, it needs to be updated. The syllabus of some subjects is outdated and needs to get updated. I chose this course as I'm highly interested in mechanical engineering and DTU is one of the best institutes and is known for its specialization in Mechanical engineering. The faculty to student ratio at DTU is 1:85 approximately. The faculty is highly qualified and has their research papers published in international journals. But the teaching method is average. Exams are also held at regular intervals.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

A lot of companies hire students for internships and many of them also offer Pre-Placement offers. The highest stipend was around 2lacs per month. Many different roles are offered by companies like Data-analysts etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements at DTU are awesome. A lot of companies come to campus for hiring students. The highest package this year was 1.02 Crores and the average is around 12 lacs. I am planning to appear for GRE for further studies in Germany.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for B.Tech at DTU are 8L approximately (excluding hostel fees). DTU provides scholarships to those who are in need. Talking about companies, a lot of companies come to the campus every year for internships and recruitments in different fields. Honestly, there is no shortage of opportunities at DTU.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at the campus is awesome. The campus is huge, beautiful, and well-maintained. There are 2 fests organized annually named "Engifest" and "Yuvaan". Engifest is organized in February and Yuvaan is organized in winters. The library at DTU is huge and a lot of study material is available. Classrooms are also good. DTU also has a huge sports ground with separate areas for basketball, lawn tennis, badminton, cricket, and football. There's also an indoor sports complex. A new sports complex is also under construction. There are a lot of social clubs at DTU.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels are old need renovation. There are single and double sharing rooms at DTU. The hostel has average-speed WI-FI. Each room also has a LAN cable connection through which high-speed internet can be used. The food at the mess is also fine. The hostel is only for outside Delhi students.

Placement Experience:

For placement, I would say it is average in terms of top-tier colleges. Average placement is 6 LPA; the highest last year was 29 LPA in BTech AI/ML. Placement is offered in the 4th year of the courses, and there are on-campus placements available, but under significant criteria based on the recruiting company like cgpa should be more then 7.5 no active backlog and all so these are the cretiera that a company demands and depands of dfiffrent companies i dont have any subsqueent infomation regaridng the name of companies visited and no of offer made but i have the information regarding thear placement percenateg it was aroung 82 percent last year my plans are to prepare for govt exam and get in there after getting degree

I don't know much about placement because I don't want to sit in the placement drive of my college. Like I told earlier also that I have interest in electronics, so I want to do something in that field. If I want then I will give GATE exam after 4 years of my college so that I can get a chance to do MTECH in vlsi.
