The university offers 14 undergraduate engineering programs, 23 postgraduate engineering programs, 5 MBA programs, and 3 M.Sc. programs Besides this the university offers other 3 other bachelor programs namely B.Des., BBA, and BA (Honours) Economics. The engineering programs include disciplines of mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, computer engineering, environmental engineering, software engineering, mathematics and computing, automobile engineering, polymer science, and chemical technology.

Financial Assistance to students for presenting Research Paper/Poster in National/ International Conference /Events This scheme is aimed at promoting research and development activities in various areas of professional education in an academic department by providing opportunities to students to interact at national and international level to update with the global changes in the concerned fields/area of specialization. Financial Assistance for Students’ Innovative Projects To strengthen the student innovative projects and to facilitate student teams venturing for innovative projects, there is a provision for financial support.

Campus Life

The students of DTU are provided with excellent facilities for indoor and outdoor games. DTU has 4x400 mtr. racing track, fields for football, hockey, cricket, courts for volleyball, basketball, tennis, badminton, along with facilities for indoor games. A well-equipped gymnasium is also available in the campus in addition to gym facilities in each hostel. The university has appointed coaches in almost all the games to coach the students and prepare university teams. Students are encouraged to participate in various sporting events and tournaments, held in and around NCR of Delhi. From the academic year 2018-19, as per the revised curriculum, the university offers foundation electives to the students of the first year and second year and in this sports have big share of electives. In 2018- 19, approximately 475 students opted for sports in the first and 500 in the second semester. The number is expected to double this year.

GTBIT is a good tier 3 Btech college in Delhi

Likes

College societies are very active, there are events, hackathons, workshops and jamming sessions every week
Faculty is very supportive and guides on career, internships and courses
College location and connectivity is good, it takes 5-8mins by auto/erickshaw to reach the nearest metro station, also buses run

Dislikes

College Infrastructure is quite old, they are rebuilding the washrooms so its better than before
Placement and internship are decent, need more support and guidance
College crowd is mostly uninterested in career and participating in hackathons or career building events

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 7th semester. Top Recruiters are Infosys, ZS Associated, Swiggy, JustPAY and there were about 250 offers in 2025 Highest package was 63LPA off-campus, 27LPA on campus and Average package is about 6-7LPA, most profiles are software developer About 60-80% of the eligible students got placed last year I would like to work as a software engineer for 2-3 year and then do MBA alongside job and then apply for management roles.

first of all i would say the infrastucture of the our collge is too good and even the best when we comapre it to other colleges in our university
second is its labs and advance tech lab for a btech student in vlsi domain we have a vlsi lab which have all the equiped tolls tahtare required for a good placemnt and same for other branches as well also in our campus there is super computer
third is the secuity the security of the campus is very good we got riif id card all gates are only when when the correct id card are shown out there and also thereare ample amoun tof

Dislikes

dislike is to be honest one thing i dislike is most is the ptm that after each mid sem there is ptm of the due to low attedence and even student got detained due to it
second is the campus area is too much smaller comapring other colleges
third is the canteen the food in the canteen is not soo good and there is no much option avaiable out there

Placement Experience:

For placement, I would say it is average in terms of top-tier colleges. Average placement is 6 LPA; the highest last year was 29 LPA in BTech AI/ML. Placement is offered in the 4th year of the courses, and there are on-campus placements available, but under significant criteria based on the recruiting company like cgpa should be more then 7.5 no active backlog and all so these are the cretiera that a company demands and depands of dfiffrent companies i dont have any subsqueent infomation regaridng the name of companies visited and no of offer made but i have the information regarding thear placement percenateg it was aroung 82 percent last year my plans are to prepare for govt exam and get in there after getting degree

Infrastructure was appreciable with no major shortage of laboratories
Senior-Junior interaction compensated the average faculty

Dislikes

Outdated curriculum negatively impacted the conceptual clarity
Too difficult to secure good grades due to strict marking
Mediocre support provided to student led initiative

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

The professors in my college are very supportive
There is many opportunities in every field of engineering
No crowded place professors support in projects and guides you to get better placement

Dislikes

Hostel management are very low lack of room for home state students
Due to construction dust is flowing around

My college provide good no. Of placement and placement from 7th semester students are eligible for placement many companies come over for recruits highest package is 6 lakh to 80 lakhs above 6 cgpa students are eligible to sit on placement

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

Canteens are the best in this college and food is hygienic
College infrastructure is good and maintained
Connectivity to this college is good just beside the college gate metro is there

Dislikes

Small campus size around 7 acres and large crowd
Library is really small ,there is not much space in library
Strict rules and regulations like you can't play untill 4 pm in the college ground

Placement Experience:

From the end of third semester students are eligible for placement. Tcs, accenture, Deloitte,amazon, samsung etc. Highest package is 42 lakh offered by Amazon. Eighty to ninety percent student get placed . I want to work in faang companies right now .

Fully solar energy used for electricity in Hostel and campus
Wi-Fi is working properly and fast all over the area.
Hostel and hostel mess are neat, well managed and hygienic

Dislikes

Sports facilities are not too well in this campus
There is zero spot of E- vehicle charging.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is newly introduced by seeing the upgradation of the industry by involving AI & ML in that work, this campus and course doing great work. There should be improvement in lab classes only and Exam are done easy to moderate level.

Reality of VIPS

Likes

Infrastructure and built of the college is very neat, clean and hygenic
Automated air conditioning in all rooms in the college
The labs are very nice and spacious with AC

Dislikes

Faculty is not nice with the students as they does’nt give the internal marks for medical issues
The teachers judge you based upon your attendance
Placement scenario is not known so can’t say about it but still on my personal opinion there won’t be anything more which everybody is expecting

Placement Experience:

As no batch has been passed out from our college, the first batch of BTech placements will be out by 2025 So then we will know about the placement scenarios and on campus and internships, but for a B plan, one should always Acquire for the trending skills in the society, my plans after getting the degree is either I go for the post graduate or I apply to off campus in abroad.

Although the college is only 6 acres but it is well maintained
You can find various benefits in the college by joining different clubs
Faculties are passed from prestigious universities like IIT, IIM, MIT etc

Dislikes

College is not big so you can't explore In the college
There are no air conditioners in classrooms so It feels really hot in summers

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about placement because I don't want to sit in the placement drive of my college. Like I told earlier also that I have interest in electronics, so I want to do something in that field. If I want then I will give GATE exam after 4 years of my college so that I can get a chance to do MTECH in vlsi.

The campus life is great, with may facilities for the students
The social life and culture in the campus is great
The qualification of faculty is good and the research environment is great

The course load is too much and it sometimes becomes too hectic
The hectic schedule doesn't allow some students to follow their hobbies
The course is too much theory based and doesn't allow self learning of the students

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is excellent. With the average package being 1500000. Many companies like, BCG, McKinsey, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, and Credit Suisse come for placement. Almost all the students get placed. I plan to go for higher studies after the degree
