MBA Journey at TAPMI

The admission process was very smooth. The Group Discussion and Personal Interview round was divided into multiple slots. The topics in Group Discussion were mostly based on current affairs and some were abstract. In the Personal Interview round, they mostly ask behavioral questions. Apart from the Group Discussion and Personal Interview round there was a English proficiency test which basically tests our reading, listening, writing skills, and speaking skills. I would like to mention that all the rounds were conducted without any glitches and the intimation for each process was mailed to students well in advance so that they can make their plans accordingly. Other than Tapmi I have applied to SIIB Pune, SIOM Nasik, and SIBM Banglore, and KJ Somaiya. Since Tapmi general PGDM program is better than all the colleges to which I have applied so I decided to choose Tapmi over all the mentioned colleges.

I have applied to Tapmi PGDM-Core Program which was a flagship program for 2 years. The course is very well structured and the content is also relevant to the present corporate requirements. During the course, students will be able to acquire the necessary managerial skills to deal with multiple situations since they regularly solve the case studies which were based on real-life problems and all the case studies were based on multiple domains. The faculty is very well experienced and highly qualified and dedicated. The teaching style of the faculty is most practical as some of them have industry experience as well which allows students to relate and understand the concept with the practical world. Apart from class, they are ready to give extra time to guide students. The faculty: student ratio is 16:1.

For internships also Tapmi maintains the 100% record every year. The majority of big companies like Wipro, Jp Morgan, etc comes to campus to offer internships to students. The highest stipend offered was 1,20,000 and the average was 21,120.

Tapmi maintains its 100% placement record which is a very good sign for any b-school aspirant. Companies from various domains like finance, marketing, consulting, IT, operations, etc visit campus. The total number of companies visiting campus is around 181. Many companies offer Pre Placement Offers also to the students.

The fees are constant for two years which is 7,50,000 per year and since this year due to pandemic, the classes have been shifted to online mode so the hostel fees are not included. Tapmi provided scholarships to students under Dr. Ramdas Pai Merit's scholarship scheme. 50 students can avail of the scholarship if they fulfill certain criteria. The scholarship is based on the student's cat score and family gross income. Apart from scholarships another financial support is also available from tapmi as they have tie-ups with certain banks which provide education loan with reasonable interest rates.

The program offered is fully residential. The infrastructure is very good and also very well managed. This year due to pandemics the classes are running online. The Kindle editions of books have been given to students and another study material is provided through mails well in advance. They are 24 committees and 6 clubs all are managed by students. There are various other events also in Tapmi like Brands can, Disha, Ignite, and many more.

The hostel facilities are also very good with well cleaned and managed rooms. The rooms are on a double-sharing basis. The food facility is based on a coupon system with reasonable rates and awesome quality. The registration process of the hostel is also smooth as we will be allocated our rooms on reaching campus and the hostel fees are quite affordable.

There was a group discussion and personal interview round and also an English proficiency test. The intimation for each round was given well in advance. The topic for GD was based on current affairs and the personal interview round was more on behavioral questions. To prepare for GD students have to keep themselves updated.
