Entrance Preview

I got this college via CET. This college was nearest to my place and my stream of choice was civil engineering by passion. As far as the process or admission is concerned, everything went smoothly as anticipated.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

Course structure for civil is easy, and you wouldn't have to break your head clearing the subjects. First semester is good enough to get acquainted with the course details as well as with other curricular attached with the course. But, taking electives into concern, they were fairly better than the average compared to the electives offered at other premier colleges.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college does provide pretty good number of internship opportunities, with our placement officer being an active person in this perspective. As from my knowledge there is no stipend given during the internship period here, but if the opportunity availed is through somebody's reference then a fair amount of stipend would be provided to the students but nothing Glamorous about it.

Placement Experience

3

Placement opportunities for our branch of engineering is very less at the college level, a few off campus recruitment do take place for which an intimation would be given by our department. The packages would be less at the basic level, which can be somewhere between 1.75 lacs up til 3.5 lacs.

College Events

1.5

As it happens at the other colleges, same kinda functions as well as events take place at our college. As mentioned before, nothing stand out compared to the premier colleges in Bangalore. The company and the ambience sets it right for people studying there. The location of the college as well played a major role in making the events a joyous ones.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were quiet a few scholarship facilities available at the college. But those were based on the merit of the students, and nothing much based int he gender or caste of the students. The facilities for seeking loads were easy and the processing took minimal time as per the current standards anywhere else.

Campus Life

2

Campus life was good enough. the crowd there were also good, which makes it a pretty much diverse place to study at. The maturity levels and the social awareness among them were good. The activities were given a good push to encourage other boring students ta participate and get to know the present happening things.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was very pleasant, it would have been even more easy if there wouldn't have been revision of the syllabus. There is always scope for other cultural as well as co-curricular activities all throughout the year, which makes it quite a fun place to study at.

Admission

All the info regarding the college and notifications is on the website and there would be no inconvenience anywhere if followed according to the directions. In detail there is nothing much to describe, as these happened a long time ago and there would be phenomenal changes by now.

Faculty

1.5

The faculty concerned with our department are as per the accord of the college, meaning they are good enough only as the college reputation is and nothing beyond that. The faculty from other departments are also good enough as you get to interact with them in the first year of the engineering course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs
