Remarks

It was very student friendly. The management was very much supportive and there were all smiles around the campus. The atmosphere was pretty good. The teachers present there understood each and every student's desire to opt for any course and as per the required counselling and details are given or allotted seats for any program.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Computer science and engineering is the course which is one to look out for. It enables you to sit for interviews in many big companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Infosys etc. The faculty here is great. Student friendly environment, great mentors, awesome seniors are what you can expect here in this college.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Big companies such as Amazon, Netflix etc before hiring you for jobs hire you for internships as well. You just have gotta apply for it and boom. There you go. You'll have to work on projects depending upon the months you choose for your internship and do well in your projects to get a letter of recommendation from the company which helps you a lot in your placements. Stipends you can consider about 10k per month.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the 4th year onwards or as you say from the 7th semester onwards, you will be eligible for sitting in the on campus placements. Big companies such as Amazon, Netflix, Google, Microsoft pay visit to the college during this time of the year and hire students based on their skills and potential. Although there are few round checks to clear but our college has given their students full support in this regards so often the students crack it easily.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees in this college are not that much, to be honest. If compared to other colleges in the country, you are surely in the cost cutting seat when it comes to this college. There are scholarships provided by the college itself for the students who do well in their semester exams as well as for the ones seeking their admissions, if you have scored more than 90 on your boards, you've nothing to worry about. Free education is what you're gonna get in this college.

Campus Life

4.5

Fests, Ah yes. The best part of college life. Students across different streams gather here to work together as a unit for such collaborative events which help our college to get recognised elsewhere in the state. The Namami fest and the Corona fests are the ones which are the most popular ones in the college. Sports fests are also held in which we do wonders.

The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
