Remarks
I applied for the LPUNEST exam that was the eligibility exam to get admission in LPU Btech CSE branch. Then after giving I cleared the exam. It was not that tough it was very easy or moderate level. Then they gave me the last date to take admission. Then I appeared for the admission process or counselling. All the paper work was done very smoothly in about 2 hours. I went to my hostel and kept my luggage over there. I availed the ward of defence personnel quota and got scholarship of 20%. When I took admission the fee was less as compared to now that's 1,20,000/-. You will have to pay for admission fee, hostel fee and mess fee. Mess fee is not included in hostel fee. Overall placement is good here. They give you ample of opportunities and will assist you inyour off Campusdrives as well. Only thing that the university lacks is they take a lot ofmoney from you means you will haveto pay for every thing. Campus is verybig you can get everything inside but at ahigh price ascompared to outside.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose btech because it has ample of opportunities in the future. The faculty-student ratio is not that good. You will get one teacher in a class of 70 students. But yes you will get your personal mentor that will help you out in every way they can. You can reach out to them whenever you need any help. The faculties are somehow highly trained. Some are young as well. They complete their masters or PhD from there only. They will teach you very well if you cooperate with them. Although mid-semester exams were MCQ-based so it's easy to clear and end-semester exams are 50-50 means half part is of MCQ and the other half Theory. The same applies to your practice.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like codenation, Amazon, quantiphi, Microsoft, cisco, MAQ software comes for selecting students for on campus drives. I'm in third year and have only register for companies but the exam dates are still to be notified soon.
Placement Experience
The campus placements are good. You will get many opportunities to take part. But it's your hardwork overall that will get you placement. They can assist you in every manner they can. If you are intelligent and hardworking I'm sure you can grab a good placement of over 10LPA. I would say be consistent and you will surely get it. As of now, the highest package went to 42LPA. And lowest is around 1.2LPA. you will be eligible from your 3rd year for on-campus drives i.e., internships, and can get PPO as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
When I took admission the fee was 90 thousand per semester but now it has been increased to ?1,20,000 per semester. That's very high. You will get scholarship ranging from 10% to 40%. Most students get 20%-30% scholarship. The scholarship is only applicable on tuition fee and not on hostel or mess fee.
Campus Life
Since this is a very big University, you will find a lot of clubs, fest, and everything. A lot of cultural and annual fests take place and every student is personally intimated about it. The library is one of the huge libraries in the north. There is a complete building of 5 floors dedicated to it. You will find a lot of books and also a variety of books over here as well. Students also get good opportunities to shine out in sports as well. Overall for this, I would say it's very good in extracurricular activities and sports.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are quite good and clean. Room service for cleaning comes to your room every,2-3 days. If you need it frequently done you can go to the warden and tell him. He will send the cleaners to your room. Electricity remains all the time here. Talking about the mess and mess food, the mess is very large but not that clean as expected. The meals and food are like other colleges, not very good. The hostel registration process is very smooth. If you are opting for it at the time of admission you will get the option to tick on the form and they will allocate you the hostel and rooms instantly. You can also choose hostels, mess and other facilities online once you receive your credentials to log in to their college website. If your parents allow I would suggest you to go for PG. There are a lot of PGs available just outside the campus. The only drawback you will have to face is going for classes as the distance between the Campus main gate and the classes building is very much around 2kms.
