Remarks

I applied only to this college because the course which I wanted to pursue was available only in this college of Delhi University. I didn't avail any quota and got admission on a merit basis. A student with maths in his 12th can only opt for this course irrespective of the stream. The admission process is very simple and can be done online via the official website of the University of Delhi. If you are eligible on a cutoff basis then apply in college and needs to submit the fees of one year i.e 25,000.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This course is interesting and I had an interest in programming but being a commerce student, I was not eligible for BTech and I think this course is much better than BTech. The faculty is good. Everyone respects each other and also is understanding in nature. Faculty: students ratio is 1:44 and hence it is not very chaotic during the lectures. The teachers are highly qualified and have good knowledge. Their teaching method is great and one can understand the topic very well. Since the classes and exams are online, it is not very difficult to prepare for exams. Keeping in mind the difficulty levels of exams, if one prepares well, he/she can earn good marks.

Internships Opportunities

3

The placement cell keeps updating the students about the available internships and jobs using social media and college notices. This course is directed by NASSCOM and is based on developing a skilled India.

Placement Experience

3

The college conducts job and internship fairs and students from every semester can apply according to the eligibility criteria of the companies. Companies like career launcher, p2p, Paytm, Tech Mahindra have visited the college for placements and internships. The average package for this course is 3.5 Lakh. One cannot directly go for Mtech after this course.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for this course are 25,000 per year ie 75,000 for three years. Fees for everyone are the same in this course irrespective of their caste. If someone needs financial assistance, he/she can contact the admin office and needs to write an application and submit some documents.

Campus Life

4

The college conducts fests near Holi and Diwali. They are amazing and very enjoyable. The library of the college is not very big but it has a good number of books journals available. The classrooms are air-conditioned with good light and benches. The building was built recently only and other parts of the college will also get under construction for development. The college has a number of societies like NSS, eco-club, debating society, fashion society, placement cell, etc.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 4th or 5th semester. Deloitte , Bain & company, PWC ,EY, Grant Thornton (for consulting services) offer the highest package to roles like analyst and accountant. Other companies such as ICICI Bank, Kotak securities , Inshorts , Urban company,HUL, Wipro,ITC hotels , Appollo Hospital etc. the highest package recorded in 2024 was 23.05 LPA and average package as 6 LPA . 85-90% of the eligible students get the placement, the data might vary as some students opt for 4th year for their research work. My plans after getting the degree lie in marketing or consulting field.

College of Vocational Studies - [CVS], Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] (Human Resource Management)
Reviewed on Aug 16, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm pursuing Human resource management and as I have mentioned before CVS is the only college providing vocational courses. The reason I chose this course is it is skill based and also i wanted to have a career in HR field. The comprehensiveness and understanding of this subject is quite good, it covers topic that one studies in his or her MBA. Their are areas that need to be improved like practical applicability of the subjects that we are taught, the college should take initiatives to let students use the learnings in a real world scenario by providing them internships or by taking them to corporate visits. The exams are conducted semester wise and their difficultly level is moderate. The exam timings for vocational courses is 2:30-5:30 p.m

The placements are very good, Placement cell regularly organizes placement drives, and companies like ktmg, amazon, TCS are invited for the drive. A large population of students sitting for the placement drive get placed with a good package. Students can sit for internships in the second year. The highest package made in my course was 7 lakh per annum. About 93% percent of the students get placed.
