Remarks

Admissions in Dtu are through JOSAA counselling itself. The admission procedure is similar to nits like in nits we have to pay 35000 during counselling to lock a seat here for dtu it's 1,02,000. After this, there are many upgradation round and lastly, you have to verify your document online through their portal. Also due to corona, we were not required for document verification physically. Along with document verification, we have to pay the remaining 87000 fees for admission. I also get a seat in Nit Rourkela and Nit Allahabad. Since DTU is I can say a tough competitor to top nits and also nit Rourkela is too far from my home i.e in Rajasthan. whereas in Nit Allahabad core placements are worst according to seniors who are studying there so I choose DTU over them. I have availed of the OBC quota and for this, you have to upload your caste certificate in addition to other documents. For dtu, students having crl rank up to 23000 were getting ECE branch. Age criteria are the same as for all nits.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Since in DTU core branches placement are comparatively good I don't say bad placements are okay okay type no issue. Also, some professors are best like Rajeshwari Pandey ma'am and honestly, some are not that good in teaching this may not be the same case for all but overall faculty is good if you are not choosing this college for faculty then this is not the right point for quit. Maximum faculty members have done their PhD, higher studies. No complaints in their teaching styles. There are minor tests, surprise tests, an innovative project for midterm evaluation exams that are of moderate level in the case of online mode. Offline exams we have not experienced yet.

Internships Opportunities

4

Intership opportunities are there like 500-600 students gets internships some are giving stipend others don't. Bechtel ,schneider electric, hdfc bank , federal bank are some names of companies . Also there are research work under professor and the stipend is around 1500-2000 rupees per month in different departments. For getting intenships we must build our CV's best. Not all students get internships in my college.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are good in my college especially for cs/it and se packages are great. Core companies are less comparatively but there is also good no. of jobs. Top recruiters are Google, Samsung, epic, cisco, Microsoft, IOCL, BHEL, IAF, Indian Navy. During this pandemic visiting companies are less like google didn't come for placements. In software branches, 95-97 percent of students are easily placed. Core branches are on the weaker side in this college. Around 450 companies come every year for placements and internships and easily 700-800 students get jobs. The highest package offered was around 45 lakhs and the average was 12 lakhs. I plan to get a job at the college itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

My first year fee is 1,87,000 and there is a 10% increment in fees yearly. I think fees are a little higher side but ya there are a lot of scholarship opportunities like for families having income less than 5 lakh also there is a scholarship for obc/sc/st candidates. I think during corona time like in my first year fees should have been lesser.

Campus Life

4.5

There is a lot of fest like cultural fest ( engifest ), Tech fest, Sports fest. The library is good and huge, I think there we will get every book which we need. For sports facilities are also good. There are a lot of societies or clubs like dance societies, art societies, robotics societies. D_coders, kalakriti, biosocdtu, IEEE, Panche, UAS/UAV and the car teams, E-Cell are some names of societies.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are good every required facility is given. Meal quality is average sometimes good sometimes bad. For registration works students have to go to the hostel office there is no online facility for that. Hostel charge is around 62000 per year.

Other Applied Colleges

Nit Rourkela | Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering

Nit Rourkela is good college but DTU also gives it a tough competition and it's too far from home

Nit Allahabad | Mechanical Engineering

Coz this college don't have good placements in core branch.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
