Remarks

Being a Delhiite and that too without any quota I had to choose a college within Delhi after JEE mains I applied for JAC counseling and according to my rank in the 1st round I was alloted with a seat in NSUT and that too in Civil (in the 2nd round), in 3rd list I got MEEV (mechanical engineering with electrical vehicles) and up to 5th round I was stuck in MEEV but in the 6th list I got DTU civil, but in the last list, I got D.T.U (Electrical engineering) according to my friends the last rank admission in E.E in D.T.U was about 42k. For the J.A.C counseling, i must say that before sitting in the counseling you must consult with any coaching teacher or any guardian who or any senior who have prior knowledge about this because counseling is a tedious and risky process and one simple mistake can cause you a big loss that can have an impact on your future.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Well, I am in the second year and talking about Electrical engineering specifically most of the teachers are very good, helpful and part of your academics they try to give you ideas on your projects and some teachers are there who are just limited to their course . Among EE (DTU), ME (DTU), and ECAM (NSUT- new campus) I chose EE because ECAM was a new branch and that too in one corner of Delhi which was about 50km from my residence and I rejected ME because of the placement stats ( as they are not allowed in tech companies) . Student ratio - in total there are about 330 students and in my section, there are 78 student Qualification of faculty - All the faculty had either done Ph.D. or they are undergoing Ph.D., they all are highly qualified Exam - 3 class test ( best of two ) and 2 minor tests (in which best 1 will be considered) these (2 +1) test comprises of 50 percent weightage and 25 percent is your Project and rest 25 is attendance, home assignment, and classwork.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees Structure - for the first year it is 1,90,000, for the second it is 2,06,000, for third it is 2,16,000 and fourth it is 2,29,000, basically, the fee goes on increasing every year with near about 10 percent Scholarship - The scholarship thing is very good here in DTU, many of my friends got 100 percent waivers ( based on the condition) Job on campus - These college campus jobs are also very decent in DTU, college provides the students an opportunity to earn and work within the college. The schemes such as USIP provide a stipend of 2.5k per month and works in different fields such as Data analysis, teaching the poor etc

Campus Life

5

Annual Fest - Engifest and Yuvaan, month - August and Feb. Availability of books - D.T.U has a very large library with tons of books and had a large variety of books ranging from technical fields to environment and to Civil services. Sports culture- No doubt it is very good and with a very large and dedicated ground for the sports (Indoor and outdoor), sports are Tennis, basketball, volleyball, badminton, Billards, cricket, football, kabaddi. and there are also tournaments within DTU like Arena and outside DTU as well. Extracurricular - DTU supports extracurricular for example there are dance societies and singing , drawing, poetry, hoisting societies, and they participate in various programs like MOODI (IIT-Bombay) etc Society- There are numerous societies in which students can explore their interests like from Artificial Intelligence-MachineLarning to Internet Of Things to Finance-Dance-singing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
