Remarks

The admission process was smooth, we went to near counselling centre of LPU near Vijayawada. They had done all the formalities. I choose LPU to other colleges because they are providing scholarships, good exposure, and LPU is a brand name and can get easily placed in MNC. We need to write LPU-NEST and one can easily crack it. This exam is not mandatory when I took it it. You can even join if u had good 10+2 marks like 50% above.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose B.Tech-CSE honours. I choose it because, IT is a booming field, and LPU is providing good placement for CSE students. Faculty to student ratio is nearly 1:20. Teachers are well qualified and treated as an assistant professors on campus. Few are exceptionally well at teaching, and most of them are above average at teaching. a bunch of them are not good at teaching and are egoistic. A semester span is 5 months. Midterm is conducted after 2 1/2 months from the beginning of s mister. End term at the end of the 5th month. Students can have ample amount of time to prepare and ace the exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

We can see a lot of Internship opportunities comes to LPU. But very few grab internship chances because the companies which offer internships requires more skills from students. So only a few make it out in internships. Roles offered are majorly software engineer, human resource, business analyst, etc. On average stipend is 10000/- above average is 18000/- highest is 80000/-, least is 0 payment. Projects are majorly on IoT, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, automation, web development UI/UX designing, business management, etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

form 3rd year - 2nd semester students are eligible for placements. Nearly 2000+ companies visited the campus and tech giants like Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon visit the campus, but they won't recruit a single student in most of the cases. For CSE and MBA students there are a lot of opportunities for placements. The highest placement is 45LPA in Microsoft and average is 3LPA and the lowest is 1.2LPA. I placed with 4.5LPA. Only 60% of students can make it out to get placements at the end of the course. After the placements, I am working in an MNC software company.

Fees and Financial Aid

LPU provides scholarships for the students who perform well in LPU-NEST or 10+2 exams. Students are eligible for scholarship if they score above 70% marks in 10+2. The fee structure is good for the middle class and upper middle class students. They charge an extra 2000/- for the examination fee and 1500/- for the alumni fee at the end of the course. They charge fees for reappears of 350/- and 10000/- for the backlog, although they give a scholarship in tuition fees. I scored 98.1% in 10+2 so, they gave me 75% off of my tuition fee and I paid 14500+10000(for honours) = 24,500 for the semester. If students got marks between 90-98% they will get a 50% scholarship, 80-90% marks 37.5% scholarship, 70-80% marks 25% scholarship I got a job with a 4.5 LPA finally.

Campus Life

4.5

Annual fests like One-India, One-World, Youth Vibes, DJ nights, Tech-Mania, and other brand promotions take place at LPU. That was too fun and learning. There is a separate block of Central Library with AC. It contains mainly academic books but a limited number of books. Student to books ratio is not satisfactory. LPU students got Olympic medals in Hockey, wrestling, a javelin throw. That shows how LPU is dedicated to sports. Cricket is the common game that can be seen on the grounds. There is an indoor stadium with a swimming pool and rollers skating zone. There is numerous students forums and NGOs which represent LPU. LPU-UMS is the website where students can register and participate or join in these forums or activities.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

One can easily register for a hostel in LPU in University Management Application. The room contains a geyser, Air cooler/Air conditioner, beds made of wood and steel, plastic chair, table of showcase with good quality, bureau with a single rag which is not enough, if one ant to store more luggage, and with a good view of the balcony, bathroom with 2 rooms. Meals provided in the LPU mess is below average. The menu is Chennai rice, rajmarg, pasta which is not good in taste, bread with jam, banana, raita, chai samosa at evening snack, etc. Food is not good. The hostel is easy to find in LPU but they charge 47,000 in my 1 st year and increased its rent every year by 3-4 thousand. In my final year, they charged 55,000 per year.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
