Remarks

Good- I selected this college mainly due to the infrastructure, the quality of faculty .Each faculty is a phd holders here and they provide good support to the students when approached . We have some experienced core subject teachers like Prafulla mam, Arya Bhattacharya sir, and Ramamurthy sir in the CS field. They are excellent at teaching and understood the subject well ,lot more knowledgeable and helpful . They use slides for teaching in classes and tutorials for problem solving. They sometimes conduct lab tests and also helpful in doubt clearing. Some students have bagged really good offers from high end companies such as IBM, amazon, dell .Campus would be really great if student interaction would be immense with all years of students seniors and juniors. Bad-Student participation in events is very poor, mixture of different students from various students is also poor. Mostly local people are present so they prefer to go home every weekend so campus would be empty. Placement cell is yet to improve a lot .Girls ratio to boys to be increased. Budget is to be increased for better conduction of fests.https://www.mahindraecolecentrale.edu.in/admission

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose computer science engineering due to my passion of technology and eager to learn programming languages and later developed interest in big data in time of course. The student to faculty ratio is 1:12. All the faculty here are phd holders ,researchers from various reputable colleges in india from IIT's and IIIt's and abroad universities. They hold a highest degree in their field of work and also help students by giving them oppurtunities to work along with them in research. Usually we have lectures and tutorials ,labs .Professors use slides for teaching in class. After main lectures we have something called as tutorials which is doubt clearing and problem solving session conducted in small batches. Each branch is divided in several groups especially for tutorial sessions. We have 3 exams in total: MInor 1,MInor 2 and final exam. Minors are held for after every 1 month and its for 1 and half hour ,they are easy-medium level difficulty .They can be passed if we focus in main lectures and practice given problem sheets. Final exam is of 100 marks and time period is 3 hrs. They range from easy to difficult level depending on the professor and subject. It requires continuous solving of questions and studying extra material and notes given by professors.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Wi-Fi is available 24 hours on the campus as well as in hostels. While hot water has timings morning from 7:30 am to 9:30 am, evening 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Each non-air-conditioned hostel room is shared by 2 people which has individual balcony and bathroom is attached. The hostel is amazing, and it has a good view, comfortable and every alternate day the cleaners clean the room. But laundry here is common for both office workers who live inside the campus as well as for students so it's a bit difficult as he never gives on time. But we have a washing machine for each hostel of 2 floors but it's always dirty. It is insufficient for the entire hostel to manage with 1 washing machine. We have shifts for the washing machine but nobody cares. Compulsary oncampus accomodation for all. New residential complex has been built and upcoming students will be accomodated there.Attendance has to be punched in at night otherwise message will be sent to parents. The canteen is good but with fewer choices like juice center, sandwiches and Maggi shop, Frankie shop, snack shop, also it serves buffet 3 times, and the mess is mostly good, very hygienic. It serves non-vegetarian food on 2 days i.e. on Wednesday and Sunday is chicken biriyani with either ice cream or cool drink which is amazing. On Friday its egg. We have rotis and rice all the time except for Tuesday night its Chinese cuisine. Sometimes when the menu is not good we go down to the canteen. It serves good vegetarian food as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Pharmacy was the best option for Bipc students apart from MBBS. My main aim was MBBS,but unfortunaley i couldn't get it. Retail pharma, industrial, clinical had a huge scope which made me to opt for Bachelor of Pharmacy. Curriculum needs more practical knowledge to prove within the real time market. Improvement was much needed with research based programs as it was the major core area for pharma aspirants. Frequency betwween internal and external exams were too short.

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

I have chosen this course as I dreamt of becoming a doctor since I was a child. In our college, the faculty is good and are qualified enough. They teach the basic things and make us learn things in a clear way. There will be two internal exams, one prefinal exam in every year. Those with an average of 50% in internal exams are allowed to write the final exams. There is quite a difficulty in passing the final exam as there is a vast syllabus.
