Likes
- A very open campus will multiple club activities for the students to take part in.
- A set of very well trained college professors
- A huge variety of people in the campus giving us a good exposure throughout.
Dislikes
- The cgpa grading policy is a bit too strict and people generally do not get higher cgpa’s at this college.
- The curfew time at hostel’s is 11:30 which I feel is too early.
- A mess not big enough to accommodate the number of students joining every year, which is increasing very gradually.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum includes whatever there generally is, nothing new or nothing less. We're thought on the basis of understanding the concepts well and applying it in the exams or practically in labs more than in real life.
Internships Opportunities
TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Infosys and various other companies come to pick the students for internships but stipend depends on company to company ranging from 10k to 50k. They also give company projects for students.
Placement Experience
The placements are decent, approximately 50% students get placed every year, if I do not get placed on campus I will try for jobs outside of the and eventually will land somewhere and will work for an year or two and proceed to go abroad later.
Fees and Financial Aid
As a student at the Mahindra university I can provide a detailed breakdown of the annual fee structure. Tuition fee annually is 4,50,000 Hostel fee annually is 2,00,000 if opted It's a total of 6,50,000 annually for engineering. There is merit based scholarships and special scholarships available for top ranked JEE students and there's also alumni scholarships offered based on the students performance throughout their academic stay. As of my current knowledge the fee structure has remained stable. Mahindra university provides a transparent fee structure with various scholarships to support students from diverse backgrounds.
Campus Life
There's a huge tech fest happening every year on our campus called aether and there's a sports fest called airo as well. There are approximately 30 clubs on campus for students to take part and indulge in.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are very well maintained, its two people per room with two separate beds, fans and desks. The mess food is much better compared to various other colleges in Hyderabad. The hostel costs around 2 lakhs per annum but with top quality.
Admission
Well i personally chose this college over other colleges because it is in my home town and i just wanted to spend more time with my mom before i left abroad for further studies. Others colleges are better compared to Mahindra but in Hyderabad Mahindra university is one of the top rated.
Faculty
The faculty at our university are well trained and reputable. The grading policy is very strict compared to other colleges, they don't just make the students mug up answers but make them understand the concept well. That's where the strict correction of exam papers come in.
Night Life
The campus in time curfew is 11:30pm there's not much of nightlife around here. But there's many places near by wheee students can hangout such as humsafar, pista house and others resto-bars. There's a gym, multiple cafeterias, library and public areas available on campus.
