Remarks
I got admission in DTU by MAINS, i was not able to get IIT as my advance marks did not meet the criteria. I availed Obc quota by submitting Obc Non creamy layer documents. Minimum marks required for admission changes every year and is based on the selection criteria by JAC Delhi. Minimum age for admission is 18 years. Admission process was not so difficult and counselling was conducted by JAC Delhi.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as i had interest in electrical engineering and also we can get government jobs through this course in PSU's. Faculties of DTU are excellent and well qualified. DTU is famous for their quality education and brand value. Since, due to lockdown classes take place in online mode through Google meet. Semester exams happen every 3-4 months. Semester exams have average difficulty and test the knowledge of the students.
Internships Opportunities
All kinds of big and famous companies arrive in our college like Google, TCS, etc. Well, Collegedunia also comes to our college. No need to worry at all about the companies as it's no doubt less than IIT's. Internships can be done after giving exams conducted by the companies.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of engineering and top brands both national and international reach the college for placements. Dtu's placements are no doubt very good and average packages are nearly same as IIT's. My plan after college is to give the Gate exam and get job in one of PSU's.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure of DTU is quite high around 2 lakhs per year. But scholarships are provided by the Delhi government which helps a lot to students in need of it. A student loan can also be availed from banks to pay the fees which are opted by most students.
Campus Life
Annual fests are organised every year named Engifest and is attended by thousands of students. Lots of celebrities are invited for the occasion and it is a brilliant event. DTU's library is well maintained and has thousands of books for the students. Classrooms are also well maintained and ventilated. All kinds of sports activities are available in our college along with gymnasium. There are various societies in our college which provide very good exposure to students.
