Remarks

Tezpur University provides a great course for students who want to learn linguistics on a masters level. One needs to score a minimum of 45% in graduation and clear the Tezpur university entrance examination to secure admission into this course. I availed myself of admission in the OBC quota. University officials made sure that all the process went smoothly and they handled all my queries as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum was perfectly formulated and in coordination with the requirement of the students from the course. The entire course is divided into 4 semesters teaching us a lot about the linguistics of the entire world. Student: faculty ratio was 20:1 which ensured proper attention to every student of the class. The difficulty level of the exams was nominal for me since I studied regularly during the classes.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The placement cell played a crucial role in helping students for internships. The Summer Internship programme was organized every year and offered a wide array of opportunities to the students. Most of the internships were paid and they taught us a lot about how to solve practical problems in real life.

Placement Experience

4.5

Since you possess a good amount of knowledge in linguistics after this course, a lot of companies are willing to hire you. In my batch, around 80% of the students got placed in top companies. Major participants of the placement week were Accenture, Airtel, Coca-Cola, Colgate Palmolive, Delphi Automotive, DRDO, Glaxo Smithkline, Godrej and Boyce.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus Life at Tezpur University is good. Numerous cultural and extra-curricular events are organized on campus. I am a basketball player since high school and was a part of the university's team as well. I used to spend a lot of time in the Central library for my studies. I loved those 2 years of stay at the campus.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are built around lush green gardens. There are 6 men's hostels and 7 women's hostels on the campus. Rooms are equipped with all the basic facilities you would ever require for your stay. The meal quality of the mess is also great. We used to hang out a lot in the common room after the classes. Overall, my experience was great.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because I like this subject and nothing more. The Faculty And Students Ratio Would Be Like 1:40 Which Is Pretty Good And Impressing. The Faculties Are Well Qualified and Kind-Hearted and Friendly. Exams Occurred At Right Time And Very Strictly Managed. Exams Are Quite Easy To Pass.
