Remarks

I have given JEE mains exams as my entrance exam and got a pretty good rank to clear my course (electrical engineering) cut off in Delhi technological University. Yes, I avail my reservation benefit to get my desired branch. The admission process was very smooth and sounded excellent I had no problem getting through the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have a keen interest in electrical engineering and that's the reason why I choose this course. It helped me in getting better knowledge and understanding of my interest in the Internet of things, electrical machines and data science etc. No.of faculty members to student ratio are very good, In the very start of your semester, you will be knowing the professor name that will teach you. Almost all the faculty members are highly qualified and very well at teaching and make you understand concepts easily. We have 2 exams in a semester namely midterm and end terms exams but it is not very difficult to pass, even if you have attended lectures had notes you can very easily clear exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

My college offered a large no of internships as well as there is a college internship for students with a very high stipend to unpaid internships depending on the companies. Like most companies offer an average stipend of 30-60 thousand stipend per month. The roles offered by the companies varied from software development intern to product manager to sales and marketing related to researching interns. This provides you opportunities to work in a very well established company and startup as well, with a variety of jobs.

Placement Experience

4

From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. There is a large no of companies that visited our campus including Google, Microsoft, IBM, Mahindra, Accenture etc. with a high no of offers. There are 1366 students placed with INR 1.09 CPA as the highest package and average package of INR 13.24 LPA in the year 2020-21. The percentage of students getting placed is very decent about more than 60% of students get placement. My plan after getting a degree is to start my own start-up.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the fees is quite high when I got admission in 2019 the first year fee was one lakh ninety thousand (190000) and it increases 10% every year. But, at the same time there are various scholarships and financial assistance given by the college and still, if you have any income problem, then the college will make sure that you don't leave college because of fees. My college also provides various jobs in the college as well as have a high percentage of college placement.

Campus Life

5

There is 2 annual fest that happens in our college is one is ENGIFEST is one of the best annual fests in India it happens in the months of February and the other is the YUVAAN literature and film festival happens in November or January. There is INVICTUS the tech fest of our college happened in the month of January. Our library is humongous and provides a large number of books and journals. The classrooms are very neat and clean and fully air-conditioned with high technology enabled. Extracurricular activities and sports are another limelight of our college having basketball, volleyball, kabaddi, cricket, football, badminton and table tennis courts. There are different other social groups, clubs are run by students like for music, dance, acting, fashion etc as well as technological clubs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
