Where to find the application form, application fees, and application dates: JAC website is sufficient Details of Reservation Benefits (if availed): Got reservation of Defense sub-category (Priority VI) in General category, Got into civil 1st round at 60k rank and later in the last round got upgraded to Electrical. Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Mention why did you choose this course: Because of the rank I got. A brief about faculty: student ratio: Faculty is pretty strict, lazy, and gives too much pressure especially online and another hand provides a way to grades as compared to other branches. Qualification of the faculty & review teaching method: Qualitficatoin is great, mostly are Ph.D., or Mtech. But they are strict and don't give marks easily. How timely were term exams and how difficult was to pass: Exams are really tough, In online mode they 3-4 extra tests just because they can and all of the tests are subjective with questions not on the internet and mostly numerical.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Name of the companies and roles offered under internships with stipend: For EE, only 15-20/280 interns till now vs COE 170+/350 students for internships. For EE avg intern is around 15-20k for COE about 50-65k a month. Mention projects and outcomes to clarify the tasks: Nothing as such, just CGPA and clear coding round then interviews.

Placement Experience

3.5

From which semester students become eligible for campus placements: After completing the 6th sem Name of the Companies visited & no of offers made: Check Website, all major tech and non-tech companies like Google, MS, Delloite, JP Morgan, etc. Give details of the highest and average package as per company and profiles offered: Avg for electrical about 8LPA, Avg for COE: 18-20 LPA, Max for EE: 20-22LPA, Max for COE: 1cr (INT) 46-49LPA (NAT) Percentage of students getting placements: Don't know exact nos. but it is good around 60-80% for ee. Your plans after getting the degree: Tech Job

Fees and Financial Aid

Discuss the fees hike policy and cost to study: 10% increase per year. The first year it was around Rs.1.8L then next year 2.06L. Name of Scholarship, Financial Assistance & Job you got on campus with stipend: PMSS scholarship for Defense students, 30k a year. Still in 3rd year, no intern, no job.

Campus Life

4.5

Name the annual fest & tech fest and month in which they are conducted: Annual: Techfest, Engifest, YUVAAN. Monthly: Various small level fest. At times, multiple fests a day. Availability of books & journals in the library: Course books are available on a reservation basis (same as SC,ST, etc). Couse books won't be avilaible for issue for general category, especially 1st yr maths and physics. Amenities in classrooms: Decent Brief of sports & extra-curricular activities on the campus: Great for extra-curricular activities. Everything is available from sports to drama to music. Mention any social group, clubs, or website for students run by students: Most societies are run by students including the magazine, DTU-Times.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
