GEC, Rajkot- Saurashtra best college for Electronics

To get admission in GEC, Rajkot students have two options 1st one is as usual complete your 10+2 and appear in Gujcet exam organised by Gujrat Education board (GSEB) or 10+2 and then appear in JEE mains in both situation students have to go through ACPC counseling and get their rank and then choosing Institutes in which they are willing to admit. Student get admission according to their rank and preference of Institutions this entire process is same for all colleges in Gujrat which comes under GTU. The 2nd way is to complete diploma and get 10+3 certificate and again go through same ACPC counseling process. Each and Every process for admission was online during covid-19 situation. Student form Reservation criteria also get reservation benifits such as their cut off is low incomparable to open category students.

Government Engineering College Rajkot is most reputed college in Saurashtra (Western part of Gujrat) and Most of faculty members are PhD holders and their teaching and knowledge is best and helps me alot for my personal overall growth. Faculty members are very much helpful if you approach them. For every subject we have more then 4-5 faculties. Until now we have experience online teaching and offline exams so for online teaching our college uses MS. Teams and every student have provided with ms team I'd with many students benifits. We have attended laboratory session and had great experience with full facilitated labs which is another advantage of government college other then fees. We have to appear for 2 exams in every semister 1st exam is midsem with moderate level of questions and need proper study to clear it. Student with backlog in midsem have to go with remedial midsem. The 2nd and final exam is University exam and it difficult to clear it not studied properly.

Student from 5th sem have to go for summer internship during summer vacations and then entire 8th sem us just intership. Many of our seniors have done internship in different companies also University offers internship. In every semister we have one subject called Design Engineering in which we have to develop projects in team of individual boath options are available but team work is preferred by faculties because at the end we all have to work at different places in different teams.

Student have to given two options in their 8th sem 1st one is to do internship and other is to work on project. On the basis of their internship students get eligible for placement for individual companies respective of their score criteria. Electronics and communication branch have average placement record most of students who focuses on their academics got placement also our college focus on startups, students with innovative ideas are funded to make their idea successful product for society. Their are many students in my batch along with me who plan to appear in gate exam and go for further studies or get PSUs also there students who are now in Germany for their Masters.

As our college is government college so we don't have to face any issues regarding fees we have to just pay 1500 teution fees and exam fees around 800-1000 twice a year. Student get Scholarship more then they pay fees, MYSY and Digital Gujrat are the main scolership for students one student can take advantage of only one scholarship.

At the end of Every year Brezinger is organised at our college which is biggest techfest in entire Saurashtra and 2nd biggest in entire Gujrat. We have Huge collection of books in our library along with special libraries at individual branches. Library have collection of book from old to latest. We also get lattest magazines to read for free at campus. We have only one ground in entire campus to play sports. Ground have Cricket pitch and goal post to play cricket and football. Student intrested in sports can appear in GTU sports selection and can go for states and nationals. College have lots of social groups such as Youth brigade, NSS, NCC. Also there are some clubs and groups run by students such as code chef, Coders for Electronics, etc.
