Remarks

Eligibility - All the students who gave JEE-Mains conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) were eligible to take admission in this course. In addition, to be eligible, a candidate should also score 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12th board exams. Admission Process - The entire admission process was conducted by Joint Admission Counselling - Delhi or JAC-Delhi. Every year it releases a brochure describing all the details like admission fees and different dates related to the admission process. All the students who wish to take admission in DTU have to register and apply over there. Reservation Benefits - There are different reservation benefits offered by DTU to different sections of society. Also, there is an 85% reservation for students who have passed their 12th examination from a school located in Delhi. Improvement - I want the admission process to be conducted in a more transparent and hassle-free manner so that it is less hard for students every year.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

It is one of the best colleges to study civil engineering in India. At the time, I joined, it had one of the best placement statistics as well as placement outcomes for any college. A lot of students also like to pursue research in their desired field after the completion of their degree. The faculty:student ratio comes anywhere around 40. The faculty members are always open to helping the students. All the faculty either holds PhD or M.Tech from prestigious universities. They put their heart and soul into teaching students. They also frequently improvise their teaching methods based on student feedback. The exams were difficult and intellectually challenging to pass. They were made with keeping all the students in mind. All the exams contained questions that were challenging, moderate as well as easy. If you have studied through the semester and made notes in the class, you can very well score good marks in the exams. All it is required is for students to put in the hard work.

Internships Opportunities

5

Almost all the companies that come for placements come for internships as well. The stipend that all the companies offer is actually very well paid and one of the best in range in the industry. The internship test comprises of Resume Shortlisting, Aptitude Round, Test of Data Structure & Algorithms (in the tech companies), Group Discussions, etc. There are different types of projects that one can make according to his or her interests. Most of the time, our seniors and faculty members guide us in making these projects which is a very big motivating factor for us. Also, our seniors guide us in preparing a strong resume so that we can get shortlisted for the company.

Placement Experience

5

The campus placements at DTU are one of the best in the country. The placements usually start in July or August. Students who are starting their fourth year or seventh semester, become eligible for placements. The highest package that is usually offered in placements is 1 CR+. Almost, all the companies come for campus placements. Some of the big names are Google, Microsoft, Uber, Facebook, Twitter Apple, etc. Around 90% of students who register for placements get themselves placed every year. The average package is around 14 Lakh and the median package is around 12 Lakh. I plan to pursue a job in the field I get interested in after college. I plan to give it my all to the company that hires me in the campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of Delhi Technological University for the batch of 2023 come to around 7,81,000. It is on the lower side if you compare it with IITs but on the higher side if you compare it with other government colleges. The total fee comes around Rs. 2 lakh for each year and it is incremented annually by 10% to 15%. The fees are totally worth it if you compare it to the facilities that are provided in the college such as quality of Faculty, Labs, etc. The university administration and the Delhi government provide a lot of scholarships as well as extend need-based financial aid to a lot of deserving students. Some students also get their fee waived by 100%, 75%, 50%, or 25% for a particular year depending upon their prevailing financial conditions. The on-campus placements are one of the best in India. There are a lot of well-paying jobs that are offered in campus placements in a lot of different domains like Tech, Consulting, Finance, Analytics, Core industries, etc.

Campus Life

5

Life at the campus in DTU is one of the best that you will get in India. There are different fests that are going on every month and in which you can participate every now and then. The annual cultural festival of DTU is known as Engifest and it is arguably the biggest in Noth India. It has a footfall of 1 Lakh+. The college also has Yuvaan, Literature & Film Festival (YLFF), the TechFest Invictus, and the sports fest Aahvaan. All of these are responsible for giving a once-in-a-lifetime experience to the students. The university library is extremely big and boasts having a plethora of books, journals, and academic articles. Students can get books issued from the library every now and then. There are all of the essential amenities in classrooms that one would require. The university has a well-maintained sports complex that has all of the sports facilities. Also, there are over 72+ societies for students to join. According to their interests, students can join any clubs and society.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
