Remarks

eligibility for this course is we can be contactor or build houses and structures. Admission criteria for civil courses are you need 10+2 with maths, chemistry, physics subjects mandatory. the minimum age we need is 17 years or above. The admission process is online with several counseling rounds. we have to apply online form for it. When we got the enrollment number we can apply offline. have to check per counseling rounds date to date. if we get eligible for the collages we chose, we have to fill the offline form with SSC and hsc mark sheet, jee/aiims mark sheet, l.c, caste certificate(if you availed under quota). So this is a complete admission process. the counseling date is in October. There are 20-40% reserves seats but it's based on from which state you are availing quota. so there is a minor difference in reservation per state. but there is a clear benefit of quota.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I did choose this course because there are wide opportunities with pretty good salaries in the structural, construction fields. Our campus has really kind and helpful faculty staff. music teacher, sports teacher, etc extra faculty staff is also present. The student ratio is 70 Boys -30 girls Approximately. there is well-experienced teachers. They have really good teaching methods. Also organizes several weekly and monthly test exams. Term exams are semester-wise. It isn't really hard to pass if we attend college regularly. Weekly tests really help us to prepare for semesters exams.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Java tech and info, sai pros. Tech company, jay infrastructure, byjus tech, bhanushwari engineering company, metro cell company, raj info, etc companies have offered internships under 5-6k rupees per month stipend. But our campus also gives a really good internship opportunity with a 7000 rupees stipend. Geographic information system using Q-gis, construction project management and building information modeling, building designs, Building structures, seismic designs, etc. Projects for civil students. after graduation as an outcome, we will be able to design the system, components,s, and structure of buildings. And analyze structural systems under the effect of force, pollution control measures, and we can also operate computer-aided tools. So there is wide job opportunities in this field.

Placement Experience

4

There is a placement cell present in our campus. So all the students get tha placement facility. Java tech and info, sai prosthetics and electronics. Om tech company, jay infrastructure, byjus tech, etc companies have made highest offer around 8-10 lakh per year. Other companies like bhanushwari engineering company, metro cell company, raj info, etc companies have made average Offers around 6-7 lakh per year package. Almost all the students getting placement from this campus. My plans after getting the degree are to take a job in any good company with a yearly package. Because they are giving pretty good salary.

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual fees are 100000 per year which includes tuitions fees. There are extra 200 rupees library fees and 100 rupees sports fees. These are the other costs. There isn't any hike policy in it. "mysy scholarship policy" Is available for students. but if you don't get eligible for it, there are other scholarship policies available in this course, NEC merit scholarship scheme (only for toppers because it is merit based), national scholarship scheme. And there is a government scholarship available for sc/st/obc quota students. which includes all the fees from library fees to annual fees. There is no financial assistance here. But the job we got on campus is an internship after last year. and stipend is around 5000-7000 rupees per month.

Campus Life

4.5

There are lots of fest being held in our campus, freshers and farewell fests, several festival fests. Other than that there is tech fests helped by sponsor companies and some are by students and teaching staff. There is a huge library on our campus where we can read peacefully. Literary has 7 stories book collection where we can find all the syllabus books and reference books. Classrooms are little small but benches are fine. there is only two ceiling fans so air suffocation isn't well. Projector and whiteboard based study system is available in our campus. Almost all the types of sports available in campus; cricket, football, volleyball, etc. extra circular activities like marathons and tech camps are Present in our campus. A Social WhatsApp group of our class students and faculty teachers is available. Rotary club and tech sponsors Found collecting group run by students.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel rooms aren't really big there is 4 students in per room. And no separate toilet/bathroom facility. Furniture and room condition is new but there isn't pretty much space in rooms. We got separate lockers in the room. Meal quality is good and there is a menu available for each day's lunch dinner and breakfasts. The registration process is really simple; just have to fill the form with basic details and a registration number. But the fees are a little high. we can get rented room/PG in locality nearby our campus In 4000-5000 per month rent. And we have to give separate fees for food.

Interview Experience

3.5

GD topics are; structure management, Carbon tax, new technologies are discovered from time to time, future jobs, campus facilities, subject-wise project work-related discussions, stock market, digital marketing, and building structures, etc. There is bo alumni in this campus. The interview pattern is based on our syllabus. Admission criteria for civil is, you need 10+2 with maths, chemistry, physics subjects with Minimum marks is 60%+ marks. And minimum age you need is 17 years or above. The admission process is online first with several counseling rounds. You have to apply online form for it. if we get eligible for the collages we chose, we have to fill the offline form with SSC and hsc mark sheet, jee/aiims mark sheet, l.c, caste certificate(if you availed under quota). So this is a complete admission process. I did prepare for test rounds and syllabus by taking regular lectures and few hour Studying per day.

The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
