This college has made a trustworthy name in its functioning since 1959 and that's the reason I did my BMS here.PTVA's Sathaye college is having Grade''A"accreditation by NAAC & is affiliated to Mumbai University. Along with all this the college is UGC approved and it is arguably the best BMS College in Maharashtra. For admissions to the BMS course here applicants must have completed 10+2 from an recognised board.
Course Curriculum Overview
For anyone who is interested in making a career in Management Studies, BMS is arguably the best option because it helps one to learn briefly about the fundamentals of the field. The course is of 3 years and the curriculum is well in line with the needs of the industry. The faculty team of our college was also a prominent reason for my growth both as a student & individual.
Internships Opportunities
Our college is a well reputed organization and that's the reason it has a good amount of Internship offers every year. It was my bad luck that I wasn't able to participate in it but yeah it was a good time for students who got to work under the real pressure and learn from the industry professionals.
Placement Experience
Wipro, Tata consultancy services, Tech Mahindra, L&T Infotech are some famous names that have played a part in the placement records of our college. Some Impressive offers have been bagged over the years and it's good for those who are going into job's straight after their BMS. However, I wanted to go in the MBA line and that's why I didn't participate in the round which is why I don't exactly know about the placement records of our batch.
Fee Structure And Facilities
For the BMS programme the college charged a total of INR 45,275 from its students in annual shifts which ranged around INR 15,000. There were numerous financial facilities such as Merit based scholarships, SC/ST scholarship and National Scholarships. If students are eligible for any of these scholarships they can apply for them.
Campus Life
PTVA's Sathaye College provided us a very familiar campus life experience among which the Cultural fest, Synergy, Sports events and Library facility were the most popular things. We used to have some industry oriented talks also which helped us to become aware of the latest Industrial trends. Students also had Canteen services which was the point of memories for most of us. Student council and Internal Complaints committee were also there for students' help & issues resolving.
Hostel Facilities
The college doesn't have any hostel facility of its own and that's why students from outer part of Mumbai or those belonging to other Cities have to search for PGs near the college. There are a good number of options within a small distance from the college & students can get accommodation as per their budget and requirements. The range of charges also varies with the facilities availed/provided.
Admission
For admission to the BMS course in the college the aspirants must fulfill the minimum marks condition and their Selection is based upon the Merit list prepared by the college for the respective programme.No interview/Group exercise round was there in the selection process.
