Remarks

NIRF ranking Good Environment of ResearchCooperative and highly educated Professors.Feedback from seniors.Being situated in a city of Industries, it is easier to experience the very culture on how the industries work.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

With the ECE I would be able to apply for jobs in Software/IT field as well as core/analog field. For my department for every subject being taught there is one professor who teaches the concept and one who takes the session for practicing and doubt clearance.Professors are highly qualified however teaching methods can be enhanced.Institution is still running on the old structure of teaching and marking.Exams are held timely and are not difficult to pass. The pattern of paper remain similar to that of previous years. Some questions are also repeated.

Placement Experience

3

For the B.Tech, students after completing 4th semester become eligible for Internships. And afters 6th semester they are eligible for full time jobs.Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Oracle, Qualcomm Capgemini, TCS, ZS, Wells Fargo and many others visit campus every year.55-60% students get placed, some of them are offered more than on job.Average package is in between 550000-600000 per annum.I am preparing for placements.

College Events

4

There are a wide varieties of fest held in campus. The annual techno management fest Aarohan. The Quiz Fest QuiFiestaThe cultural fest Recstacy. Most of the fests are conducted in between March-June.Library is not so good. Required varieties of academic books are available but the numbers of books is not as much as needed.Talking about other genres the library lacks a lot.Sports culture is quite bad. Institute provides infrastructure and amenities just for the name. The club culture is quite good, various clubs working in different orientation guides their members in a good manner.Sum of technical/non-technical events, seminars, webinars, motivational events, workshops organised is also good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure is genuine. Not too high. And for students from lower income background, college provides a cell to help grabbing the various scholarship opportunities like State Government Scholarships, Central Government Scholarships. With banks branches inside the campus, students can also apply for loans as well.Talking about campus placement, most of the companies that visit college hire mostly for Software profile. Thus making the placement percentage for branches like CSE ECE good. Some companies also visit for the position of Data analyst, consultants.Although a decent number of students get placed, a lot are left behind without a single job in hand. The average package is also lower. There are a lot of companies in all sectors that can be called onto campus for hiring, but are not visiting for whatsoever reasons.

Campus Life

4

Sports facilities are not good.Wifi is provided in every hostels and library, however.the speed is not so good.Library was under-construction at the time when we were in college, recent pictures shows its quite good actually.Labs are okay. Number and quality of equipments can be increased.New buildings (hostel/conference halls/academic building) are under construction and will be completed soon

Hostel Facilities

3

I had opted for hostel.Rooms were big and three students were kept in a single room. For the first year students opting for hostels was mandatory. The corridor, toilets, washrooms were cleaned on a daily basis. However, rooms were to be cleaned by students themselves.Drinking water was provided well.Food quality and quantity is average.

Admission

Apart from Joint Entrance Examination Mains, No. There weren't any extra test. However, tests for various courses are taken through GD and Viva. A course centered on the various communication skills is also taught

Course Curriculum Overview:

My passion and a bit of curiosity in International Relations led me to choose this course. The curriculum, in fact, prepared me well for further academic pursuits. For improvement, educational excursions and internship opportunities should be made available. The exam is held twice a year on semester basis, with papers set at a moderate to difficult level.

There are limited on campus placement opportunities here, especially for Arts and Eng Hons students. Most students focus on higher studies, competitive exams or off campus opportunities after graduation. The college provides basic guidance through teachers but formal placement drives are rare.
