LPU, B.Tech, Data Science

Remarks

I had taken the LPUNEST exam which is an entrance exam for LPU college admission. I had applied for an exam and received the date of the exam which was conducted after one month of applying. There are four subjects Maths, Physics, English and Chemistry. For a total of 360 marks, Lpunest will be conducted. Maximum marks that are to be scored are above 150. Above 150 marks are considered as qualified marks and these are more helpful in reducing fee. And one main thing is that everyone must qualify for the LPUNEST to join LPU.So in this way, the admission process will happen.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose computer science &Technology in B.Tech(Data Science). As all know that nowadays everything has been digitalized. So one must have more knowledge about this and moreover as I am more interested in this branch I choose this course. There are students from different regions and all communications are in the English language. Coming to faculty all the faculties are experts in the subjects that they teach and almost all the faculty are certified.

Class Size: 85Course Fees: INR 72700 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

As I had taken CSE I received two-three internships of companies Capgemini, Cognizant, and Infosys with the stipend of 16k. And the projects are related to the courses such as html , javascript , c# and python etc..

Placement Experience

From 6th semester students will be eligible for campus placements. Many MNCs such as Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, Bosch, Infosys etc. offer huge job opportunities. As per 2021 48LPA is the highest package and the average package would be 5-6 lakhs. Almost 90-95% will be placed at the end of four years

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee that we pay is more affordable for what we study. The tuition fee ranges from 70-75k and the hostel fee ranges on the options we selected such as 2-seater or 3-seater etc.. and the mess fee ranges from 35-40k. All types of food items will be available we can choose as per our wish. The scholarship will be based on the entrance exam(LPUNEST). We can also even apply for bank educational loans.

Campus Life

Many fests will be conducted by the management weekly to enhance and explore different skills of the students. Many amenities in classes will be available according to the comfort of the students such as wi-fi, labs etc..Coming to say about sports 10% of students are in Olympics.LPU is not only known for studies but also for games & sports.

The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

All the online courses should be reduced.

crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
