Remarks

The whole counselling process was taken online, for the years 2020 and 2021. The process was simple, you just register yourself on JAC Delhi official website and choose the college and branch preference wisely, then you have to wait for the counselling rounds, and when you get your desired seat in your desired college you have to freeze your seat by paying the appropriate amount.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My preference was Computer Science but I didn't get that so I chooses ECE, because ECE is very similar to CS but have some other subjects related to electronics. This course gives you a wider opportunity for your carrier as it prepares students for electronics as well as for computer oriented fields. This course offers you deep knowledge of electronics and also the upper basic skills of computer science. The Faculty of our course was nice, but as we are only meet them online, so can't tell about them deeply.

Internships Opportunities

4

Many companies provide internships also, after 2nd year students can apply for internship programs but for that, you have to be very active and very good in academics, only a few students get on-campus internship opportunities but you can go off-campus also, but for on-campus, you have to very good at your own skills.

Placement Experience

4.5

So the placements of the NSUT are very good, almost all big companies visit the campus and in tech section any student in and above ECE branch can apply for placement, means for GOOGLE, a students from CS, IT, MAC and ECE can apply for placement, and almost all the major companies allows students from every branch for placements. Now, on paper the avg package was around 9 - 10 lakhs per annum and for the tech section, it was about 13 - 14 lakhs, so the placements was very good. And about 85 - 90% of the students who apply for on-campus placements got placed, on thing also, the lowest package offerd was 3.5 lakhs per annum and in 2021 highest package was around 48 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently, the fees of our course are approx. 2 Lakhs per year, which provides a total fee of 8,44,000 for 4 years. And the fees continue to increase 10% every year, but you can easily apply for some scholarships programs offered by various govt. agencies like Delhi Govt. Scholarship Scheme provides up to 100% scholarships for those who are below the poverty line and 50% to the lower middle class and 25% to the middle class.

Campus Life

4.5

As I am from the online batch I didn't experience any fest, literally, not a single fest was organised for us. But yeah, the library was very good, it has lots of space and lots and lots of books. The classroom are nice, not very good, but above average. The sports facility was quite decent, you can play any sport, and the sports equipments were also available, but not for everyone, some of the equipments are reserved for some occasions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
