Remarks

To take admission in DTU, one has to clear the jee mains exam. After results has been announced, you have to fill the admission form through jac Delhi website. To take admission in any particular course, you have to clear the minimum cutoff required for that course. To fill application form from jac delhi, you have to pay Rs 1500 as registration fees. Application dates are announced by the jac body after the result of jee mains exam has been published And you are given around 30-40 days to fill the registration form and if you fail to fill the form, you would not be able to take admission in DTU. Also, there is reservation for candidates who have completed their 12th class from any school which is situated in Delhi, as, 85 percent of total seats are reserved for those candidates. Admission process is all online, if in any case, due to some technical fault, if someone is not able to fill the application form, then it can result in his loss, so, admission process should be made offline.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have choosen this course, computer engineering, because i am interested in computer and its vast uses, also, the placement stats of this course are considered to be best. Faculty here are knowledgeable but most of the time student has to study on their own because many a time syallabus is not completed on the time and sometimes teachers leave the class before the ending time. Student-teacher ratio is around 75. In my class there are 75 students like most of the class as I have confirmed from some of my friends. Most of the teachers here are highly qualified having a ton of experience, some of the teachers are teaching from past 30-35 years. Teaching methods are somewhat traditional and somewhat modern, mix of both. They use good amount of technologies to teach the students. For term exams, since I am still in 1st semester, so, there have not been term tests till now. But as my seniors have told me about exams, they are not considered, that much hard to pass.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internships are also provided to many students in college by many companies like microsoft, myntra, google, amazon, etc. Most of the companies which come for internships first take some written test and after that there is some skill test based on the types of companies we are recruiting for.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements at the dtu are considered very good. Infact, its comparable to the old iits. Students becomes elegible for placements at the end of 4 semesters. There are no. Of companies which visit the college which include elite companies like google, microsoft, amazon. Highest package was 1cr while average package was 13 lakhs. I plan to get a job at tech companies after taking my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees, I think, is more than what it should be. It's around 2 lakhs per annum. Considering all expenses including that of hostel/pg, its around 3.5 lakhs per annum. There are number of scholarships for people who can not afford to pay this fees. Also people who belong to lower classes are given financial assistances.

Campus Life

5

There are several fests that are held in the cumpus. They are held in around march-April. Social life is very good. Most of the people here are good and there are no inequalities based on any background. Library here is very big, infact, it is one of the biggest in whole of the delhi. Around every type of books can be found from in there. Sports life is very well. There is a ground for many of the sports. There is indoor ground for indoor games. There are many societies run by students ranging from cultural to sports to techs.

Other Applied Colleges

NSUT | B.Tech Computer Engineering

Because I was not able to clear the cutoff for that particular branch.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.
