IIIT Ranchi

To be part of IIIT Ranchi students must clear the GATE exam and must have secured 60% marks in B.Tech related to the subject. I was allotted IIIT Ranchi after my counselling in CCCMT. IIIT Ranchi is a very known name in the field of education. The placement of the college is also very good. Students of the college are placed in market leader industries. The education standards of IIIT Ranchi are of international levels. The college is also not too crowded as the courses in the college are limited due to which you have a very limited number of students.

The curriculum of the college matches the international standards. The curriculum of the IIIT Ranchi M.Tech program includes electives, projects, assessments, viva voce, research work etc. Industrial training is mandatory in the final semester of the program. The curriculum is a proper blend of theoretical and practical knowledge.

The internship is mandatory and in the last semester of the program, students must complete their internship. The college placement committee helps students to identify companies for internships and students can opt for off-campus internship programs also. The internship stipend depends on the duration of your internship with the company but the stipend usually ranges from Rs. 26000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/-. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Infosys visit the campus during the college internship program.

The college placement record is good the college is able to provide placement to almost every student that appears for placement. The placement record of the college for our batch was 95%. The placement committee is very good and they know that the college is newly established and they will have to work extra hard to attract good companies. Companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Infosys, Wipro, Google, Snapdeal, Flipkart, etc are the companies that visited the campus during the placement drive. The highest package for our batch was 16 LPA and the average package was around 9.50 LPA. I was also lucky to receive a package of 12 LPA.

There are no regular fee hikes. The scholarship program from the state and central government is available. Education loan facility is also available and the admission staff guide you for the education loan process. Scholarship programs for SC/ST/OBC/PD students is also available. The college campus life is good The classrooms of the college are smart classes. The classrooms are spacious and big. Sports events are regularly organized by the college. The library is equipped with all kinds of books academic and non-academics and a books on demand facility is also available. The administrative staff is very cooperative and friendly. The college provides a good environment for studies.

The hostel rooms are like 3 and 4 bhk rooms and the rooms are shared by 4 to 5 students. The rooms are equipped with beds, study tables and cupboards. The hostel is well maintained and the rooms are cleaned on every alternative day. The food menu is rich and diversified. The proper amount of balanced diet is available for students with fruits, milk, and seasonal veggies. The food of the mess is good and tasty. The hostel is equipped with all kinds of facilities according to the comfort of the students.

The faculty of the college is of PhD level and most of the faculty have industrial exposure which is very beneficial for students. The faculty are experts in their field and quite helpful full too. The faculty teaching methods are so good that they are able to interact with every student during the lecture. The faculties are so good at teaching that they can explain complicated concepts to you in a very easy way.
