Registration can be done on admission.lpu.in by filling in your details. Apply for LPUNEST to avail scholarships or make direcr payment of admission fees. You can select desired city and date of exam for LPUNEST. Appear for LPUNEST and wait for the scorecard to get admission or scholars. Following the result, attend online counseling Fill in seat and preference, and download the allotment letter once the seat is allotted. Book your seat by making the initial payment online and uploading the necessary documents. The eligibility criteria for this course is passing class 12 in the science stream with an aggregate of 60%. The application form will be in a format that can be processed by OMR. LPUNEST kit consists of university information, placements, academics, students service, campus life, etc and it consists of applicable, eligibility fees and scholarships, test series and questions papers etc. Cost of the application form and soft copy of LPUNEST KIT is? 1000(for boys) and? 500(for girls).

Course Curriculum Overview

The university environment is good with valuable faculty members, there are no major flaws in the university system and no bias is present. The faculty is communicative and has a deep understanding of the industrial topics, the major share of faculty members are of doctorate level Having a quality understanding of subjects on both domestic and international scales. Overall the faculty is very helpful and provides a better understanding of the topics. course curriculum is updated with giving a precise knowledge of our required field to help us excel in our fields .all the staff is so helpful and caring with giving the correct guidelines to students

Lpu offers various opportunities for students to work directly with industry on live and entrepreneurial projects. Industry projects give the students insights into latest trends in the corporate world and help them become competitive and ready for the real world

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee for successive semesters will be payable before the end of teaching of the preceding semester. Examination fee(per semester) is? 4000 and the examination fee of 1st semester are payable along with a fee of 2nd semester or before. The average fee is ? 40000-50000 per annum.

Campus Life

College life is very busy but good. The campus is always in news in various activities. The educational aspect is looked after by the various workshops and seminars conducted. They even have open classes at times if the weather permits and I have heard that this makes the education more interesting. There are many fun activities like the events conducted for fun in the evening by the student's affairs department where some celebrities or the others are always visiting the campus. So from what u have heard, lpu campus buzzes with work and fun, hand in hand

Hostel Facilities

Hostel life at lpu is awesome having the largest campus in the country,lpu owns one of the huge and best accommodation facilities for the students. Right from dormitory to single independent room with attached bathroom, students can choose from multiple options available. There are 3 types of hostel facilities are available in lpu like apartments, standard rooms, and dormitories. All the hostels in lpu consist of large dining halls where the students get food 3 times a day

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Likes

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Big campus and beautiful garden and environment
Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Dislikes

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
