Remarks

Minimum marks required to take admission in Btech in LPU is 60% in 12th. I had got 224 marks in LPUNEST and I was in top 20% scorers so therefore I also got rs 80000 scholarship from the University. The admission process was easy at my time since I had provided all documents online so I only had to come for verification in offline admission process and it was completed within an hour

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Education: The course framework is good as per market I should say. Because at my job I see I am the one who and most diverse courses and it's helped me a lot. Faculty: There are a lot of average and below-average faculties which are the main downfall of the university. I should mention they do have a really good faculty with them but not many. And you know when you keep taking in students in thousands of numbers you need to comprise the quality of education. No comment on it. It's on management.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There are more than 500 companies which visit our campus and hire a good amount of students. The lowest package offered for BTech is 3.5 LPA- 4 LPA and avg package is around 6-8 LPA. The maximum goes above 20lpa. There are companies like Capgemini, cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, lots, Deloitte, high radius, lead squared, Odessa, etc which visit the campus and hire a huge strength of students. They offer projects in various fields like ML, Data science, cyber security, cloud computing, etc

Placement Experience

4

Placements: This part is the tricky one. Let me tell numbers first. I recall there were more than 1500 eligible Electric and Electronics students and more than 4000 I guess in CSE. So you see these numbers go up every year but the market doesn't have enough jobs for all. And doing engineering nowadays is like fun. They don't even know what a programming logic for Bubble Sort and they have a degree in hand god knows how. So there is no blame on LPU or Students particularly. Students should not rely on college on enhancing their capabilities but they should on their own. The college will get you the chance to prove and it's you who needs to prove. That's it. So as per placements, LPU does try to bring in a good number of companies but again students don't prove them.

Fees and Financial Aid

For my course which is btech ece hons. The fee per semester was 105000 at my time and I got 40000 scholarship per semester. So the final fee which I used to pay every sem was around 65000 and also they charge 2000 rs extra for examination fees.

Campus Life

4.5

Extra Curricular and Student Organisations: Best part of LPU. If I need to give credit to some thing for my personality I build I will for the student organization cell and my student organization Sankalp Enviro where I was part of it for three years of my university time. They help you meet new people, make you better person, diversify your thinking and a lot more. So it's best on this. Events and Fun: Don't need to mention. They are best around.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Infrastructure and Services: Best I have ever seen. Not sure what's going on now because I passed out in 2018. Food and Stay: Adjustable and vast kind of varieties. You get many options in chosing your hostel. Hostels are best maintained and I do think they deserve to be paid what they take from us. Networking: Believe me when a lots of people come to university your network too increases like a giant spider web. This happens here. I have people I know all around from India. You might say what's in it. Once you step out in real world you need people to talk and make things happen. So you know.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
