Remarks

Eligibility to join LPU is the LPUNEST Entrance exam. Totally four subject MCQs will be conducted of subjects maths, physics, chemistry, and English. Qualifying marks would be above 50% of the total marks. Otherwise, students may also join college by IPE marks. Moreover, LPUNEST is the best way official way to join LPU.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

LPU is the best source for the computer science and engineering students' placements and I am even more interested in computers So I have specifically chosen this course. There will be faculty for each and every subject. The teaching method is more informative. The exams will be conducted in consideration of all student's abilities.

Internships Opportunities

5

I have done an internship incognizant with a stipend of 18k. I had done projects based on HTML, JAVASCRIPT, C# and Python. I had learnt many new technologies that are developed using this language. And I had learnt the procedure of the employees and learnt more ethics.

Placement Experience

5

Students are eligible from the 6th semester for campus placements. Tech Mahindra, Odisha technologies, and many MNCs offer huge roles for students. The highest package is 42 LPA. The percentage of students to get placed will be mandatorily above 90% for each pass-out batch.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee will totally depend on the scholarship which will be totally based upon the LPUNEST exam. Whereas hostel fees will be based on the facilities that the students choose. Fee for the students can also be paid by the personal education loan. I had done an internship in engineering gurukul.

Campus Life

5

The fests for the students are conducted once a week probably. Students can enjoy it a lot. The annual fest will be conducted every 6 months. Many libraries are also provided for the students to gain extra knowledge. Wi fi, gym, and sports and games are also provided for the students.

Hostel Facilities

5

The registration process for the hostel will be easier just we need to go to the admission office and there we can choose the rooms which are comfortable for us. ACS and coolers are available in hostel rooms and we can so choose that how many people can stay in a room. Many students also stay outside of hostels. But the hostel is more protective rather than outside PGs. And the hostel fee will be worth the fee we pay.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
